Even though it's conceptually flawed.

Who knew a club could get promoted with 3 strikers:-

1 devout sick note.
1 Possible sick note
&
1 Unlikely to remain fit for a second full season.

Esp in a division that has considerably strengthened since last season.

According to the Newcastle chronicle they are going to offer £11million for Knockart and that he wants to leave Brighton and join Newcastle.

Brighton factually.....

Still not enough, who out there could replace him and how much would they cost...

Will Hughes springs to mind, but Derby would want the same kind of money so what is the point in selling him.

If we do sell him we will have resigned ourselves to a play off spot at best.

Hate to say it... but if that figure is true, I don't think it will far off from being accepted.... maybe closer to 15... but I think Chris H needs to start looking for another maestro.....

Matt Ritchie plays down the right so, unless they'd switch Knockaert over, he'd be far from guaranteed a start at Newcastle, would he?

Have you got a link..I can't see anything on there website about increasing there offer

Newcastle United will have a busy week - they've not given up on Anthony Knockaert yet
Newcastle United are looking for three more signings - at least - and expect one this week

Newcastle United will move again this week to make it seven summer signings under Rafa Benitez – and he’ll push for more before August.
The smart money is on Anthony Knockaert, all £10million of him, adding a touch of creativity and incision to a team that requires more if it is going to make promotion at the first time of asking as much of a procession as it was in 2009.
The winger is keen to join and that adds impetus to Newcastle’s efforts to prise him from Brighton, who are – it should be acknowledged – very unwilling sellers

That was from yesterday morning - some of the more encouraging whispers have come to light since then.

The article goes onto talk about 3 or 4 other positions where they are trying to add players.

"After Fulham on Friday, Newcastle play twice more within eight days. It might seem greedy but those extra numbers are, most certainly, required."

Might seem greedy? MIGHT? Poor souls. Twice in 8 days.

Since then
- Hughton has said: "The chairman has been excellent - we want to hold to our best players" in post match interview yesterday
- George Caulkin (NE football correspondent for the Times) reported his Newcastle source telling him "Knockeart is not happening"
- Ha ! credible reports of fan asking him yesterday when going into the ground . Are you going to Newcastle ? - "No"
- Looked his normal self yesterday v Lazio. No surprising "knock" or absence.

PS: A fool would say nobody is leaving as the window is still a month away but the club / Bloom are clearly being v.bullish about keeping hold of their players.
