Thanks for that - and it's great to see you back on here.There are many indicators of the degree to which the club has developed over the last couple of decades or so, but I'm struggling to get my head around the fact that Albion have an astonishing 30 (yes, 30) players (across all age groups) on international duty this week.
Even that number doesn't include Samy Chouchane (who scored one goal in five appearances for the Tunisian U-20s at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations tournament earlier this month), the injured pair of Jakub Moder and Ruairi McConville (who would have been called up for the Polish senior squad and the Northern Ireland U-19s respectively if they had been fit) and the unfortunate, retired Enock Mwepu who would have been in the Zambian squad and probably captaining the side.
In addition, there are a handful of players who have already been capped this season who are not involved this time around. It all speaks to the amazing recruitment and player development that has been happening at the club now for many a season.
What a time to be an Albion fan.
