No, he didn't. His Juventus titles were revoked for match fixing. He has six on the bounce. However, playing for Juventus, Inter, Barcelona and AC Milan you would have to hope these teams would be challenging. He is a good player, but not the world class player he is hyped up to be, in my opinion. In every game I have seen him play he has looked average. How many times was he made to look bad in the Champions League over the years, hence the English analysts agreeing.

Lordy. Not world class? If he isn't world class, I'm not sure anyone is. Without a doubt he's one of the world's best footballers.

I feel I'm digging here, but this is the internet and I'm allowed an opinion. I'll put it another way: all those saying that Ibrahimovic is world class, do you think he is the same level as Messi, Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona et al?

I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just curious to understand if those that think he is world class think he is as good as the aforementioned world class players? I personally don't think he is in the same boat, and I'm being slated for saying so... For me, world class is when you think of Pele or Maradona, as good a player as Ibrahimovic is, and there's no denying he is good, I personally think he is overrated and not world class.

Those players you listed are potentially the best EVER, along with Zidane, Puskas, etc.

Ibrahimovic is world class in the same way that say, David Villa is world class. A very, very, very, very good player at the top level of the sport.

Your definition of world class seems to be 'one of the greatest players of all time'. So by that definition, no I don't think he's on the same level as Maradonna or Pele. My definition of world class is about being one of the best players in the world today. Which he is. Almost inarguably.

OK, let me stick my neck out here and quantify this - I don't think Wayne Rooney is half as good as ZLATAN.

Not HALF as good. I would rather have one Zlatan than two Rooneys.

Funny you should mention Rooney. If Aadam thinks Zlatan is overrated, look no further than the puffing, sweaty, temper-losing one-dimensional bin-dipper for an example of a massively overrated player - earning far more than his skills would suggest he should be, plus not proven anywhere outside his home country.

Okay maybe we have slightly different definitions then. There's no doubting he is one of the better strikers today. He has a fantastic record and is up there with the best. But when I think of WORLD CLASS I think of Messi and Ronaldo. When I think of very good players, then it's the likes of Pato, Ibrahimovic, Villa et al.

If Ibrahimovic is world class, how do we classify Messi and Ronaldo, because they are a level above Ibrahimovic, there's no doubting that in my opinion.

I'd agree. He has never done it at international level (but then most of the England Squad could be included in this), rarely does it at European level, and doesn't do it often enough at league level.

Never liked him. I'm sure hes good and all that but I wouldn't pay to watch him. That's Zlatan by the way. Rooney? He wouldn't get anywhere near the top sides outside of the Prem. Extremely overrated.

Ibrahimovic deal done then. They're going to be strong next year if they can pull together as a team.

Thats a huge investment in a league where even if you win it the financial rewards aren't massive and the TV deal is no where near prem levels. The owners must be going all out for Euro glory, a rather risky strategy.

Even though he's not world class?

Zlatan is quality. If a little moody. Just LOOK at some of the goals he scores.
