BOSH. The french league would be GOBBLED up if that happens.

Would be interesting to have a French club side worth looking out for in the Champs League for once.

Was Zlatan the free part... He has to be one of the most highly overrated players, ever.

I love Zlatan. And Balotelli. And Berbatov.

Moody but brilliant strikers basically.

Utter nonsense. if anything I would say he is massively UNDERRATED over here by idiots who don't know anything about him.

Guessing you missed his goal of the tournament at the Euros?

Also:

2001–2004
Ajax

74 games
35 goals

2004–2006
Juventus

70 games
23 goals

2006–2009
Internazionale

88 games
57 goals

2009–2011
Barcelona

29 games
16 goals

2010–2011
Milan (loan)

29 games
14 goals

2011–
Milan

32 games
28 goals

National team

Sweden U21
7 games
6 goals

Sweden
80 games
33 goals

So, a record generally of OVER a goal every two games, at the highest levels of football. He is unquestionably World Class.

Fail. Zlatan is MINT.

You'd think PSG would be NAILED ON for the title next season if this happens, but they said that last season until little Montpellier rocked up with a tiny budget (about 25% of PSG's) and Olivier Giroud snaffling goals aplenty.

Exactly. Phenomenal record.

Plus his goal against France in the Euros wasn't BAD was it?

So Ibrahimovic is not coming to the Amex then - and I was getting quite excited about the prospect. Was it the wages or the fee that blocked it...... ?

He was won 8 CONSECUTIVE league titles.

No, he didn't. His Juventus titles were revoked for match fixing. He has six on the bounce. However, playing for Juventus, Inter, Barcelona and AC Milan you would have to hope these teams would be challenging. He is a good player, but not the world class player he is hyped up to be, in my opinion. In every game I have seen him play he has looked average. How many times was he made to look bad in the Champions League over the years, hence the English analysts agreeing.

And Murray.......

Zlatan is class. The only people who dont rate him are those that dont appreciate football outside of England.

I know its a lot of money but as money is no problem for them, that is a good deal for PSG, Thiago Silva is an outstanding defender.

Apart from his string of honours across several countries, his multiple personal awards, his outstanding goals (check YT for that one he scored for Ajax, or simply look at Euro 2012) and the fact that he has convinced most of the biggest clubs in the world to sign him, what more does he need to do to convince you (and it does seem to only be *you*) that he is world class?

Also, this from 2 July 2012: AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani insists that there is no chance of Zlatan Ibrahimovic being allowed to leave San Siro this summer. "We don't have any problems with him," the Rossoneri chief told Sky Sport24 on Monday evening. "He will 100 per cent remain at Milan." -- what a back track that is, if these reports are true.

I DID put Murray in at first, but then decided to take him out as some DINLOW would point out that obviously he wasn't in the same class as the first 3.

But yes, I still love Glenn Murray. There, I said it.

It seems he is of the same opinion as Hansen, Shearer and co:

"Til he's done it against ENGLISH sides, he's a nobody."

His goalscoring record alone, considering the sides played for and over the length of time, make it near impossible to suggest he isn't world class.

He is.

I feel I'm digging here, but this is the internet and I'm allowed an opinion. I'll put it another way: all those saying that Ibrahimovic is world class, do you think he is the same level as Messi, Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona et al?

I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just curious to understand if those that think he is world class think he is as good as the aforementioned world class players? I personally don't think he is in the same boat, and I'm being slated for saying so... For me, world class is when you think of Pele or Maradona, as good a player as Ibrahimovic is, and there's no denying he is good, I personally think he is overrated and not world class.
