as 10cc say, not in hove
folks:

ask yourselves some questions-

- why does this troll pop up suddenly and have page after page of pre-thought-out cut and paste stuff?

- why does he profess even the slightest interest in football?

- why does he follow US posting times and not Israeli? if he's an israeli he's been on here for hours and missed his tea

- why are you all getting so wound up?

he's an american freak, that's why!

Theres one here too, and we have quite serious security issues here - thankfully diminished compared to the 1970s though. We haven't locked up the editor of the Irish Times for leaking that our prime minister took dodgy loans, we didn't lock up journos for leaking that some ministers were involved in gun running in the 1970s, etc, etc, etc.

Why? Because this is a proper, mature country. We don't need to slam people who might hurt our image in prison for nearly 20 years to 'protect' it.

I think our FIRST PLACE in the Reporters Without Borders listing compared to Israels 50th says quite a bit

Are you at all surprised though?? When you've got two types of people who want to kill each other but are both citizens of the same country surely it makes sense to have strict things on what you say as you dont want to offend the other one??

Also, i admit, the worst thing about Israel is its media image....

The other day i was watching the news and they had a well dressed, well spoken Palestinian woman talking....

Then the Israeli turn...

A fat bald guy dressed in shitty clothes and speak barely any English lol.

But its the bad media handling and image what makes Israel and people like myself look bad. But people need to understand there is a lot more context and history (im not talking about the torah 3000 years ago) to it than what you read in the guardian or see on the bbc. All i can do is give you the other side view. I cant change Israel's actions or influence them. All i can do is support them (which is what they need when youve got people threatening to wipe you off the map with nuclear bombs) and inform people of the truth because people do get mis-led (and they do on my side aswell...Buba for example)

Two types of people who want to kill each other, citizens of the same country? Sounds like Northern Ireland to me. Which had a nasty habit of spilling over here (Dublin bombed, Monaghan bombed, police officers/soldiers killed, etc). We never restricted the media. Never had to. We never locked up those who leaked information - if the information is there to be leaked your security isn't good enough.

Worst I can ever remember us being in the RwB is 6th. Which was in fact 2nd after a joint first.

I am prefacing this by stating that my father and his brothers were all members of the Hashomer Hatzair in the 40's and my eldest Uncle fought in the Israeli air force in 1948 but your grasp of history is clouded by nationalist propaganda. I would suggest you read the work of Benny Morris, Ilan Pape or Avi Shlaim (all Israelis) if you want a more accurate account of the birth and subsequent history of Israel.

Just for starters the actual UN vote was as follows, 33 countries voted in favour of the partition, as set by UN resolution 181: Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Belarus, Canada, Costa Rica, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Guatemala, Haiti, Iceland, Liberia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Sweden, South Africa, Ukranian SSR, United States of America, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Uruguay, Venezuela.

13 countries voted against UN Resolution 181: Afghanistan, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Yemen.

Ten countries abstained: Argentina, Chile, Republic of China, Colombia, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Honduras, Mexico, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Yugoslavia.

One state (Thailand) was not present at the vote.

In terms of population, Census were conducted at teh start of the 1920's and 1930's. The Jewish population of Mandate Palestine in 1931 was given at 16.9%. This figure grew through the 1930's and in teh aftermath of the Shoah but there was still an Arab majority in 1948.

Im not at all familiarised with the story of the guy who leaked this

The only reason i can think of why his punishment was so harsh was because i dont think it would have gone down too well with the Arab countries if they found out they were building weapons. Also, this was 30years ago..... media controls back then were not as low as they now. As in, if that happend today i doubt the reaction would have been the same but at that time it was a time of panic because there was the constant risk of invasion from the Arab countries. The same way how i dont think the news of the world were an active part of democracy as they are today... But i wasnt around then so am open for correction!

Accurate? Accurate?

These liars Jews are spreading new blood libels at Israel, as much as Chomsky does. Nobody spit to their direction in Israel!

Noam Chomsky applauds jihad

MIT professor's support for Hizbullah is sign of worrying trend

One could approach Massachusetts Institute of Technology Profesor Noam Chomsky's show of support this week for Hizbullah as a passing curiosity, or as yet one more piece of psychiatric evidence of this old Jew's dimming mind that has contributed so much to linguistic research has been swept away by his outrageous political opinions.

But it is also possible to see the praises Prof. Chomsky lavished on Iran's Lebanese proxy as an expression – as one expression – of a worrying and dangerous push gaining a foothold amongst Western intellectuals: An acceptance of radical Islam, and the view of such groups as legitimate liberation movements.

Liberation from what, you ask? The answer is clear: From the onus of colonialism, and American-Israeli oppression. Full article inside

Confronting the self hating Jew

Intolerance, bigotry are not symptoms of religion or of secularism. They are born out of human deficiency

The term ‘self hating’ is a strong one used in many cultures and communities. A Jew who publicly criticizes Israel or the Jewish community may often be labeled as self hating. Unfortunately labels rarely help anyone because they mask the real issues.

Often real and serious concerns are brushed aside by the use of a label. This is not to say that self hating sycophants do not exist. No doubt they do - as we shall explain. However one must caution that not all disaffected people are self hating and nor should they all be labeled that way.

The real distinction seems to be how one goes about it. The best way to effect change in a community is from within. Those who are sincerely pained by the goings on in Israel or in the Jewish community as a whole would try to use their influence within that community to effect change. Full article inside

Another accusation of Nazism. You really are unbelievable, Buba. I don't think I have ever felt more sorry for someone, as you.

But its only existed for 59 years.

And why the f*** are you still here? You were leaving 2 hours ago.

Oh, and I'd like to see where I "tried to destroy" Israel. Although I don't want you to reply with it, because you've left already, remember?
