what looks better
1. Empty blue seats to match the stadium to complete the stadium?
or
2. the sight of grey concrete + white bars & a half finished stadium?
We would get the newer fans picking and choosing a bit like they do at the moment,I CAN'T UNDERSTAND PEOPLE NOT PASSING TICKETS ON WHEN NOT GETTING USED,I THINK AS LONG AS PRICING IS SENSIBLE AND PROMOTIONAL PACKAGES FOR THE YOUTH OF SUSSEX IE FOOTIE TEAMS SCHOOLS WE COULD KEEP THE % OF UPTAKE AT AT AROUND 90% AND 95% FOR THE BIGGIES for the next 5 yearsI was thinking along similar lines watching MotD on Saturday night, particularly the Bolton game where it looked as though there were vast swathes of empty seats for the visit of QPR. Looking at the attendance and the stated capacity, there were around 7000 empty seats but it looked pretty depressing, I thought.
I was wondering, if we did manage to become a Bolton-esque mid-lower Premier League club, how many people would turn up for the non-glamour games once the novelty wears off after the first season or two? Would there still be an insatiable demand for tickets?
How come La Liga winner, former Champions League player and ex Spanish international, Vicente Rodriguez plays here then?Small capacity grounds like our 22k Amex don't attract the cream of Association Football talent because it shows a lack of ambition and potential in that football club. The more seats the better and bollocks to giving a f*** about potential empty seats.

I'd say we have a bigger support than Bolton, Bozza, and you have already underestimated our support at the Amex. People turn up at the Amex because the "product" is good, and the quality of football on display is actually only part of that. Consequently, I'd guess that with a professional marketing arm, gates at the Amex will rarely dip below 24-25,000 in a 31,000 capacity stadium watching Premiership football. Even Blackburn get 21,000 minimum and they are a small mill town and the club is in disarray.

I would like to see more seats, but I do remember us having bigger crowds on our way to the old 1st Division than when we actually got there!
I'd rather the extra seats, that way you're guaranteed a larger capacity for the big games of the season. Brighton has a large catchment area; I'm not sure if 22,000 seats in the Amex fully does the club justice.
never had a 30k in the old div1![]()
No comparison between then and now. Old statistics count for jack. It's 2012 not the late 70s/early 80s.
