Right, I don't often bet but recently downloaded the Iphone William Hill app and loaded £10 on.

I've been putting £2.50 or £5 here or there and done fairly nicely have currently £41.50. Well that was until I placed this bet. To win in bold.

Reading v Blackpool - 8/11

Burnley v West Ham - 5/4

Middlesbrough v Bristol City - 4/7

Southampton v Doncaster - 1/3

Forest v Brighton - 23/10

Now the last accumulator I won but only playing £1 it wasn't millions.

This time I did a £5 bet, But I clicked on the 5x accumulator not really knowing what it means and bet. Turns out I've bet £25 which was a shock (As I said I'm not a betting man) I'm not to fussed as it was from my winnings anyway but given I don't even know what 4/7 means what are my odds? My football knowledge says it looks like I've a chance but then look at last Tuesday night! If I win however I will win £364.48 which will be nice.

Has anyone ever made this mistake? And does 5x acumulator just mean it multiplies your bet by 5? Why not just do that yourself in the normal one?

ive not made this mistake as i only ever have a max of £20 in my online betting account... easily done however..

looks like a good bet

i have

ARSENAL v villa
NORWICH v wolves
stoke v MAN CITY
SUNDERLAND v qpr
burnley v WEST HAM
SAINTS v doncaster

£10 to win £240

You have placed 4 folds, instead of Accumulator. Which means you need any 4 of them 5 to win to get a return.

So you have:

£5 Reading, West Ham, Boro and Southampton all to win
£5 Reading, West Ham, Boro and Brighton to win
£5 Reading, West Ham, Southampton and Brighton to win
£5 Reading, Boro, Southampton and Brighton to win
£5 West Ham, Boro Southampton and Brighton to win.

In terms of betting. 4/7 is fractional odds. The second figure is the amount you must stake to win the first. So you must put on £7 to win £4. If you the fraction was 10/1 you bet £1 to win £10.

Im not the best at explaining things so please ask away.

Excellent, So even if one of them lose I still win the £364?

As for the odds bit thank you makes sence now.

No no. You have FIVE separate bets. IF ALL FIVE TEAMS WIN YOU WILL GET A RETURN OF £364

If four win your return is likely to be around £70(average) as you will win just ONE out of the five bets. So if Reading DONT but the other four do win that will knock out the first four bets as losers but the last example will be a winner.

If there's one rule I have... It's never to bet on my team!

Sounded to good to be true, Still £70 would be my biggest ever win! Really excited for this afternoon.

Looks like Burnley are going to ruin my big win unless West Ham can pull of a big reverse. 2-0 Burnley. Bristol City also beating Middlesbrough at the Riverside but I expect Boro can come back from that.

Plus side Reading are 2-0 up, Saints is still 0-0 but should win it. Brighton as drawing and by the sounds of it anything could happen.

It's all just changed in the last five mins.

Brighton winning (0-1),
Reading winning (3-1),
Middlesbrough equalised (1-1),
Saints winning (1-0),
West Ham still losing though but have pulled one back (2-1).

Tense afternoon.
