Is a shame that the albion and brentford can't ge together and move the brentford game to the friday. Will affect the away support at brentford, losing brentford money and us a cracking away support.

IPL champions Deccan Chargers will face an English county in their group

The fixtures have been announced for the Champions League Twenty20, which will be staged in India in October.

Teams from India, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and England will play 23 games in New Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Both finalists from England's domestic Twenty20 Cup, which concludes in August, are due to take part.

The first Champions League was due to take place last year, but was postponed following terror attacks in Mumbai.

The opening game of the tournament pits Royal Challengers Bangalore - with whom England batsman Kevin Pietersen spent time during this year's Indian Premier League - against South African provincial side Cobras on Thursday, 8 October in Bangalore.

Why?

Hodd is not really a one day player and Hodd's keeping has not be of the standard he showed in 2007.

Well, play him, but still play Hodd.

We done it in the T20 final in '07 AND at Lords, Saturday. Where did that get us?

:wrong:

Why waste 2 spots on 2 people that can keep wicket.

Prior is the better bat and his keeping has improved so much, yet Hodd's has not.

Also Brown has generally been our one day keeper this season.

I'd rather see Kirtley dropped for Prior, if anyone. Hodds a better keeper than Prior - no question. As bowlers, we can have Yardy, Arafat, Smith, RHB, Nash, etc.

Also..if we are going to play 2 PACE bowlers, why not play Collymore instead of Kirtley? Or is he injured?:glare:

I no longer think Hodd is the better keeper and he is certainly not the better bat.

Collymore does not play in limited overs as every time he has played he has leaked runs.

I'm with Piers. Prior's been superb against the Aussies and certainly didn't make any mistakes with the gloves on Saturday, whereas Hodd's been average. As batsmen the two are league's apart

Oh sweet jesus this is mouthwatering.Gutted to have JUST missed the Stanford debacle but seeing Kent in India would be a dream, and to have you lot there too would only spoil it a little bit.Getting rid of Lancs and Pants is a great bonus.COME ON

And Hodds played two 20/20 games this season to Prior's one. If we're gonna pick on emotion then pick Brown's who played 8

Why? because against hampshire making a spot for prior screwed up the batting lineup IMO those players in the comp had got used to thier starting position and probable running between the wicket partner,we looked inept and out of sorts against hants, and as i said at the time why change a winning team to accomodate Prior.

I don't think batting order makes too much of a difference in 20/20, it certainly shouldn't do, all the best teams alter their order depending on what's happening in the match. Being shunted down didn't seem to do Nash too much harm on Monday. And what line-up? on Monday we've moved around loads of people

Don't be expecting too much. It took the bloke who was getting our tickets for the FPT Final (who bought them in exactly the same way as you did there via SCCC) eight extra days and over 40 phone calls to eventually receive them.

From Lord's.
Not this time ...

Tickets arrived less than 24 hours later, by first class post.
