I really hope we stick with this for the remaining two games, made us look so much more dangerous, even though LuaLua had a fairly quiet game. When Vicente came on, we looked class and were all over them.

For next season, if we played

----------------New GK---------------

Calde-----Greer------El-Abd---Mattock

--------------Bridcutt-----------------

Buckley--------New CM----------LuaLua

--------------Vicente------------------

--------------New ST------------------

We'd be on for automatic promotion if we played this, found a decent goalie, a good box to box midfielder and a poacher to put the chances away... Obviously depends on Vicente staying though...

To be honest though the Watford defender gad Lua Lua sussed from the off, he never let him drift past

Agree with that. But when we had Vicente drifting onto the left wing we looked dangerous every time

Dicker gives the ball away too regularly and hasn't really been the creative spark that he used to be. Need a stronger CM who can make powerful runs.

though LuaLua should have stayed on and Vicente on for Dicker

nope, far too sensible and attack minded, push barnes out wide so that we dont become a threat anymore down the left. So when vicente looks up to play someone in, we havent got anyone there. thats the way to play.

If we want promotion, Calde will be exposed again and again by wingers from:
Wolves, 3 of (West Ham, Blackpool, B'ham & Cardiff), Blackburn, Leicester, Sheff Utd, Charlton, etc.

Calde is a good player goping forward, so perhaps he plays in front of a proven fullback.

Agreed about a new CM, with pace, power & perhaps height with Bridcutt & Vicente lacking that.

Noone on the left.

Agreed new striker required, who is a clinical finisher of chances at this level.

This im afraid. CMS has had far too many of these games this season. He looks lost to me.

Not a natural footballer.

Running into space in League One for P'boro, is a totally different proposition than against great Championship centre halves.

I thought we looked really shaky with two wingers personally, we are normally much more solid at home.

Definately this, what does Gus see in Dicker that the rest of us are blind to nobody around us in the north can understand why he is in the squad

Gus & his stats man, are obsessive about the high pass completion ratio of Dicker & Calde.

The problem is, when Dicker gives the ball away, it can be devastating; and he has no pace to help win the centre midfeld battle.

He is a bit of a liability when defending I agree. But he offers so much going forward!

Spot on.

He isnt unfortunately for us, had two good chances tonight and never looked liked scoring from either. I love his energy, but thats about it i hate to say.

Wrong

Calde is a good player goping forward, so perhaps he plays in front of a proven fullback.
Wrong.
It's no coincidence Calde and WB scored today. Plus most of WB's goals this season have come from playing with Calde.

Noone on the left.
Wrong.
No end product

We have one, it's just he sees so little of the ball, he's forgotten how to kick it.
And he'd see even less with Noone playing.

Agreed about a new CM, with pace, power & perhaps height with Bridcutt & Vicente lacking that.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I did too. We were over-run in midfield- we looked much better when Vicente replaced LuaLua. Although we also looked better after Vincelot replaced Painter (who looked woeful).

Calde - wrong - cannot defend, but keep as great with the ball. Journalists and ex-footballers who've watched the Albion this year, have been shocked at Painter's & Calde's lack of defensive ability and pace. You can see it clearly every game.

WB is a class act, regardless of who is behind him. I hope Lambert or another don't raid us in the Summer for WB.

Noone a great player that high-flying Cardiff tried to poach. Not the finished article yet.
