A panic buy because with Kemy gone we had nobody to spin the discs at the Christmas Party.

Jesus wept - as if nobody realised that Fat Boy Slim would have done it for free in return for coming on as a sub for two minutes when we were three nil up (or three nil down for that matter!)

£14M for Locadia and £17M (?) for Jahanbakhsh - that £31M we'll never see again, plus several million in wages (probably two million or so a year each, so that'll be about £50M altogether). Look at that backwards, forwards, sideways, down, whichever way you like - it wasn't the recruitment teams finest hour! Jahanbakhsh we'd been after for years, apparently :)facepalm) - but Locadia was a bit of a panic buy. Thank fvck our recruitment team didn't persuade Vincent Janssen to sign as well!

Should've got Michael Owen.

An occasional squad player with 2 goals and 1 assist across two different managers? On his wages and fee? Not really.

It’s not his fault if we don’t play him. TB would have been stung if he were rubbish. When he gets given a chance to do something, he’s normally up for it.

Yes. Yes it very much is. That's how football works. You start if you're good enough. If you're not you work at it. And if you're still not you find a level where you can start.

I take your point, but one needs a squad of players. You can’t, for all the reasons that we all know so well, have the same starting 11 every week.

And he has been good enough to start the last two weeks, and contributed more than others who are more regular starters.

I am not trying to champion Ali J as the answer to all our problems, but to compare him to Locadia is grossly unfair.

Locadia proclaimed himself as the messiah come to save us and then did feck all and presented as a disinterested hippo with an arse like a space hopper , AJ on the other hand despite being a tad lightweight for this league has had a decent go when asked and is on the whole far more likeable than dj jumbo .

Per the Argus: FC Cincinnati will not take up the option to buy Locadia (who is the joint seventh-highest earner in MLS  )

Where on earth do you go when even the MLS don’t want you. He will just ride out his deal with us now as nobody is going to pay what we are

Just this season left on his contract.

No need to worry about selling him now, just need to get a loan fee and a chunk of his wages paid.

There must be some Championship club desperate to sign a striker.

Let’s just lend him to Hibs as a gift of partnership. No way anyone going to want him on loan if they have to pick up his wages.

Never mind at least we can console ourselves that whilst we’ve paid the guy millions in wages he’s been spending the time dishing up sub standard EDM

Isn’t it worth the club just writing off his contact at this point?
