Is he going to be the next Wayne Bridge ? Happy to play a pure form of football and enjoy himself because the money isn't important.

Personally think he would be a fantastic signing, very good player and good passer that would suit our style.

Wouldnt take a wage drop anything like what would be needed to sign for us.

We only paid 10k a week for Wayne Bridge whilst City paid the other 80k. Would he really be prepared to drop over 70k a week in wages.

As people have said - would love him here but would assume wages would be an issue.

This is very similar to the Bobby Zamora situation, and not a million miles away from Wayne Bridge too.

I wonder where the reporter got this story from?

Exactly.

He seems pretty committed to whoever he moves too. I read that he completely sold up in London, before moving on to Liverpool . All went tits up and had to buy another house when he moved back, but fair play.

He's still capable, on his day, of being a terrific player. Well worth a punt.

P.S. we're Brighton not Real Madrid.

if coach/chairman think the wages are worth it, abso-bloody-lutly. Joe Cole is one of the most gifted technical players ever to come from these shores, just been punished by injury.

it might seem far fetched, but say he just want to play, but is settled... where else can a London boy go? Maybe Fulham, but they've got enough crocks. QPR have already got 25 more players than they can register it seems. We play a game that would suit him a treat, bring him in.

Whenever I've seen him interviewed, he always appears to love his football, so maybe a chance, I would personally love it
