Did anyone see Creeper at Chalk last Saturday? I really like the latest album although not sure on the earlier stuff but we had a family birthday meal so I couldn't go.
For those who like to support local bands, there is a local bands night at Factory Live in Worthing on 26th April.

Not sure the venue is particularly great at promoting these events but only £4 entrance and what else...
With live music at a standstill I heard Alice Cooper saying that while artists like him are able to survive, many bands will struggle with income from gigs and merchandise their main income. He was encouraging people to go online and buy merch or music from band sites to help them out...
I have had to resort to earplugs in recent years as I found the tinnitus after gigs getting worse. If you buy the musicians ones, they help filter out the worst of the noise while still being able to hear the music properly rather than just dulling everything.
Went to see Ghost at Wembley Arena on Friday evening. Support acts were dire but the main event was good. You have to think of it more as a show than a normal rock gig.
Lots of people in the audience dressed up in various religious outfits (including some very interesting nuns)...
Saw David Ford at the Ropetackle last night. He is an Eastbourne lad who started out in an indy band called Easyworld before going out on his own as a singer songwriter.
He was doing the looping pedal stuff long before Ed Sheerin and is an absolute master of this. He plays loads of...
Are you off to Metallica in Berlin? If so, make sure you get there to see the support. Really into Ghost now and believe Metallica have let them bring their full stage set with them. Not sure it will work as well in twilight but they are a great live act if somewhat weird.
Well, at least I got some entertainment last night!
Great gig last night but one you need some stamina for. Band came onstage at 7:30 and finished at 10:45 without a break. Didn't feel that long as with so many different vocalists and a variety of musically styles within Tobias Sammett's...
Missing the Cardiff game tomorrow to see Avantasia at Kentish Town Forum.
The 'band' use different vocalists for each album in addition to the main singer. It looks like guest vocalists tomorrow are Eric Martin (Mr Big), Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Ronnie Atkins, Jorn Lande and Bob Catley...
I was at the Dome on Monday night to watch those 80's pop-rocker's Europe in action. Support was from British Blues Rock band King King who were actually fairly decent. Quite a few long numbers in a support set but very easy to listen to and I might explore their catalogue a bit more.
First...
Concorde2 gig on a Friday night are often early shows as they have the club night there on a Friday. I really like these as either you get home at a reasonable hour or you can get to the pub for a couple before the last train home.
Seem to remember Fish telling us about his day outside a chippy in Islington the other year before telling the same stories on stage an hour or so later. Sure you have the photo somewhere.
Saw Half Man Half Biscuit at the Kentish Town Forum last night. Played quite a lot from the new album and a good mix of older stuff in a two hour set. They always do a cover in the encore and it was London Calling this time. Also managed to squeeze in a bit of the '82 World Cup song into the...
