But are the Premier League scouts turning up at Smellhurst to watch Jedinak ??? Football pundits and journalists both in the national and local press all enthuse about Bridcutt being the best DM in the country outside the Premier League.

I think that was also the season where we took 4k+ to the final game of the season away to Port Vale to celebrate being League Champions.

So why didn't CPFC2010 take a gamble and ask Watford for just another 100 or 200 tickets on the basis fans would be paid at the end of the month ? After the initial allocation which is sent on a sale or return basis is sold any additional tickets have to be paid for up front with no refunds but...

Paul Barber said at the Seagulls Over Burwash Q & A session a couple of nights ago that Palace are only getting the same amount as they gave us

    Watford v Crystal Palace tonight

I only hope The Albion ask for the ticket money up front for the game on March 17th with this sort of attitude.

No it wasn't a thread started by The Major , the information was gathered from a website which details the away followings and then posted on here.

Where I have made stuff up ? You were saying the Charity Shield is just a friendly , it wasn't considered as a "minor trophy" game until the 1970's. Not everything written on Wikipedia is accurate so I double checked my information from a written book. In 1910 , The Charity Shield was contested...

All the neutral news reports say Palace came back to secure a point and the two sides were equally matched over the 90 odd minutes.
  14. seagullsovergrimsby

    Watford v Crystal Palace tonight

In 1910 the Charity Shield wasn't played as a friendly like it is today , it was between 2 clubs playing for the honour of best club in England

Back in 1910 there was prestige in winning the Charity Shield , wasn't the ZDS today's equivalent of the JPT ?

Always the same response when Palace cannot pick up 3 points , we have x number of first teamers out injured. This wasn't the same Watford side insofar as they didn't press home the advantage when taking the lead.

Watford should have gone for the jugular after scoring two , allowed Palarse to come back into the game after taking their foot off the gas. Wurzel looked like a fella whose P45 has been filled in but waiting for CPFC2010 to sign and date it.
