The left is portrayed as lazy work shy and on benefits, yet people still say that they will vote for them, plus opinion polls are anonymous you're not labeled as evil if you say you will vote tory in an opinion poll!
Plus I think opinion polls take into account things like you mention.
I was being slightly facetious with regards to the economy but there is a fair argument to be made that the economy is in a worse position than five years ago.
Anyway in another five years it will be clearer, as will the state of the NHS.

They are based, to a certain extent on previous voting behaviour, and this election hasn't been similar to past elections, therefore it is more likely to have some variation.
