Rubbish - what if you don't agree with the reason for the strike ? Or can't afford to strike ? Therein lies the issue with Unions !

In short : Gove IS a bellend Teachers shouldn't strike - it amazes me that parents can get fined for taking their children out of school for a short period and teachers are up in arms when they do yet it's OK for teachers to strike for a day or so. If the teachers want to hit back then refuse...

Having worked on a farm ( admittedly not as a farmer ) I can assure you that most farmers earn their ( normally pittance ) money many times over many professions including teaching.

Not always they're not. Besides "tacking" it on to the end or beginning of a holiday period isn't IN the holiday.

I'm sorry but this might be the case for SOME teachers but there are many where this absolutely isn't the case.

My ex-wife and my sister are both teachers and both are agreed that inset days should be during school holidays. Barring report time neither think they're overworked or under paid.
