Mentioned in the Arcade Fire Reflektor thread but I really need to recommend Baths - Obsidian. Dark, tasty beats and good melodies. eRc4yi_iOSM 18RY71ISxbg

Good lyrics and good tunes. Don't judge them on their first album, I'm not a fan of it.

Can't agree with this, simply because I think he's been doing some of his best work over the last few years. The Slip was great, Ghosts is lovely background music, and the soundtracks (especially Social Network) are brilliant.

    The must-have albums of 2013

It's interesting - quite a few have noted that there's something inexplicably reminiscent of the early albums about this one. Really good level of songwriting I think, the band is incredibly tight live now too.

    The must-have albums of 2013

That doesn't answer my question. Do they still sound like a bored Foo Fighters? All double tracked vocals and very, very bland choruses? Puzzle started to lean that way then the album after that was absolutely shitawful.
  13. Mellotron

    The must-have albums of 2013

Are they still sounding like a really bored Foo Fighters? Infinityland was stunning, they went rapidly downhill after that.

    The must-have albums of 2013

Already out David Bowie - The Next Day - stunning. The Strokes - Comedown Machine - they're splitting up soon. Moved further into Julian's electro territory. Really good. Upcoming The National - Trouble Will Find Me Queens of the Stoneage - ...Like Clockwork
