I think you will find I feel so much that I am able to intellectualise my emotions on a much higher level that you or that so called film 'expert' US. Pair of saps.

Even as a child I hated it for the way it tried to emotionally blackmail me. Vomitous, shallow crap. Just well packaged crap.

E.T is one of my most hated films. Slushy, sentimental, overly manipulative clap trap of the highest order. Spielberg should be ashamed of himself.

I think the problem was the narrative which meandered a bit. I feel the story could have been tighter because there are some incredible moments in that film. The first 20 dialogue free minutes, when they strike oil and the final 20 are all amazing, odd, compelling scenes.

For example you gave a slightly negative review to Memento, which I was quite happy to accept even though it is my favourite film. However I didn't go skitz, start telling you you are a negative arsehole, that you are up there own backside and you are wrong because it got a 8.5 on IMDB.

How can you be negative about Memento? Tis my favourite film of all time. I have watched it about 8 times and written 3 essays on it and can only say it is utterly brilliant.
