And the guy who is working site is not going to get as much as someone who runs a small business of say 2/3 people...what you want is the job done properly for a fair price and that 'rate' is going to be higher then just hiring a site roofer who might do something privately in his spare time

Well thats what i think, as we arent talking about site work....but as can be seem he doesn't seem to have got a proper roofer

Interesting that you say £25 is a 'very over generous rate' .....given some of the work they have to do seems an okay one to me...but what you do want is transparency over pricing and the work done properly......price wise its probably going to be too late ..but as another 'roofer' has posted it...

I take it you will be paying by cheque on receipt of an invoice....re bill 2k? me thinks bit steep..its not as though materials would cost him much and with the extra work at least he was on site already ...is he VAT registered? That would account for some i guess.
