Bless her, Yvette Cooper (or Mrs Balls) has to do something to raise her profile now she has abdicated any responsibility for steering Labour back towards sanity/electability.
There is some evidence that it was deliberate policy of New Labour to open the doors for ideological, electoral as well economic reasons. If true they have a hell of a lot to answer for.

If we hadn't had mass immigration over the last decade + the view of taking genuine refugees might be more charitable with the vast majority, sadly the cynical/criminal incompetence of government policy has led to the inevitable shut the door mentality. Where is the democratic mandate for...
Who said it was? But it is incompatible with western ideals and does have a foothold in this country. If you hadn't noticed most of the British/western media seem to be operating under Islamic blasphemy law.

It was pre general election where politicians do the rounds telling each audience/demographic exactly what they want to hear often contradicting a previous speech. Apparently Tony Blair was a past master at it. Two ministers with diametrically opposite views would go in to see Blair both would...
Going off on a tangent somewhat but it could be argued that any person who has deeply held religious beliefs and who believes their holy book is the revealed truth from God/Allah, should be kept well away from high office. Prefer someone in power who acts on evidence and reason rather than blind...
Britain will be forced to build three cities the size of Birmingham within five years if it is to cope with current levels of immigration, an expert has warned.
It follows fears that the population could increase by three million by 2020 – adding strain to the country’s creaking public...
Hope you are right but don't think the main stream politicians should ignore or claim to address immigration concerns when they clearly aren't. Stiff upper lip and tolerance which is being sorely tested.
Agreed but inevitable that these groups will gather more and more support if the main stream politicians fail to address issues seen as most important by the majority of the British public.
Until recently I would have agreed with you on there not being any chance of limiting free movement but the mass migration/refugee crisis hitting the EU may shift a few positions (even Germany) towards allowing member states more control. Still very unlikely I know and Cameron will spin any...
She talks a good game but presides over a system letting in net 300k + last year. I think the Conservative leadership have one last chance with the pre referendum negotiations. If they fail to get any real concessions on border controls/limiting free movement of people an out vote becomes a...
Agreed and it's irreversible. If politicians are going to take decisions that make fundamental changes to our countries the least they should do is seek a democratic mandate first .That EU referendum in 2017 can't come a moment to soon.
1.5 Million in one year ..... It baffles me why so many otherwise savvy politicians seem intent on keeping their finger firmly pressed on the cultural, societal, political self destruct button. Interesting to see how Germany, Europe, the 'Liberal' Democratic West will cope with all the demographic...
