Baxter was caught out on a technical glitch - he regularly used vicks nasal spray. The us version contained pseudoephedrine which shows up on drug test as an amphetamine related stimulant (it's why meth labs use cough medicine to make crystal meth!)
Wiggins was advised against it as the uninformed would interpret changes as doping. They would fail to understand the spikes in haematocrit that are normal vs those that are suspicious.

I think he'll keep coming back to cancer as its a sure fire way to tug on the heartstrings. Expect lots of "it reminded me of when I was fighting cancer..." of "during my darkest times, fighting cancer, ...." and the like.
Good points. You've t to look the Spanish public's attitude to doping to realise how tolerated it is there. In football, EPO could have massive benefits for training and recovery, likewise testosterone.
