Clash of egos? I can’t imagine Vicente was in awe of Gus and Gus was a complete control freak. If you told me Gus cut his nose off to spite his face on occasion I would be inclined to believe you. He did turn into a meglomaniac dick in his last couple of months here (Gus that is)
Didn’t Vicente...
Made the right decision, he was shit at professional football but I just wrote him off as that. Big lad who looked much better than he was against smaller kids I assume. There was a reason he didn’t get too many chances.
Not having that. The only bright spots in going to Gillingham were the fact that OGH, Minton and Rod Thomas (great full length diving save in one game) played for us there.
Oh and the fact that Ritchie the bear Barker found his scoring boots eventually.
9 were substitute performances too. I can’t help thinking neither him or Leon Best wouldn’t have got anywhere near the matchday squad under GP. I have no idea what CH was thinking
It was a post I made about him that inspired the thread :lolol:
I actually liked him! Awesome at Millwall in the playoffs too. He could be a couldn’t care less lazy bugger though.
It may be unjustified but for me it was Nicky Rust after he had an injury that kept him out for a while. Went from a really useful looking keeper to one who couldn’t stop a pig in a passage. Really wound me up
