To be honest, if in my town a suspected terrorist was at large who is known to have taken shots at and killed one police officer, lobbed some type of explosives at his pursuers, killed 3 people including an 8 year old and maimed 100's more and the authorities wanted to look in my house to ensure...
Sounds like an inspirational story and human being.
It never ceases to amaze me how some peoples reaction to these type of events is to run towards it to help rather than away to self preserve. I can honestly say I'm not sure which way I would go.
I'm not judging anybody, I was merely interested in what makes people tick. Aseros does not have to justify his reasons but I was inquiring as to why he has them as he alluded to a similar event earlier in the thread and wondered if that was some sort of trigger.
Not exactly TLO, Aseros has posted how he was directly involved with 7/7 and I wondered if this event has triggered the inability to empathise with others, I wondered if before 7/7 he had a different outlook.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not attacking him in any way, it is not my place to judge others (unless Palace fans). I am just astonished that somebody can be that bereft of emotions.
I actually think it is unhealthy.
I for one feel a DEEP sadness and have utmost sympathy for the parents and other family of this child who will right now be struggling to comprehend what has happened.
I tend to always get this feeling when hearing of the loss of people in terrorist attacks, maybe I'm odd.
You are factually correct in that Mandela was a convicted terrorist and in certain places in Boston funds were indeed raised for the IRA.
It could even be true that the EIGHT year old boy killed in yesterdays attack donated his pocket money to the cause.
