Decent nut first up from Stokes wasn't it.

Series would have beenb completely different of Stokes could have bowled some overs. We've done well to stay in it, frankly, with such an inexperienced spin attack. Hard to know what the take aways will be.

Anyone else think Pope has got a little bit unlucky with his dismissal? Clearly it was within the parameters of Hawkeye but to be that far down, on the move and for the ball to be clipping the top of leg seems to be pushing it a bit.

I wonder if shifting Root down the order would help. Bairstow isn't keeping and Stokes isn't bowling so moving up one in the order could help. They also definitely need to consider playing two seamers in the next test. There's four of them on tour.
