Indeed, just pointing out it’s not as simple as “student flats got approved so a hotel will”. However I think the club learnt a lot from the hotel bid and any future one they put in will be likely to be successful.
Check the Bennett’s Field thread. The student flats are in Lewes council not B&H and were turned down but got through on appeal to the government planning inspectorate.
That's really odd as it's just a case of what is already there (beer stalls, coffee stall, burger stall and chip stall) but in a better presented format.
From the club’s Instagram account. This is the view walking from the East stand to the railway station. Not that much room to the ticket office windows!
That said that looks about the same width as the path around the back of the East stand and that moves ok. Think any issues would be with...
Funny thing is that it will look like that precisely to get permission as the hotel that got turned down was said to not be in keeping with the Amex. This has a sloping roof so from A27 it will just blend in with the Amex roof line
.
As the hotel didn’t fit in with the surrounding area. So it’s interesting to see this has a nice sloped roof to complement the shape of the Amex from afar.
True but it doesn’t look like it going to be a huge venue so probably more for smaller gigs. Maybe even just included it in the plans just to cover all bases.
In this one there’s the seagull on the floor outside the club shop and that row of the trees is the railway line. Exactly where the current beer, burger and chip stalls are. Note the part of the stadium highlighted in red, that’s the north east corner of the stadium where the big roller shutter is.
