Willingness to suspend all rationality? Just how does someone willingly do that? Is it like watching a film, suspending ones disbelief but for a lifetime? What happened in your life to make you want to do that? If you don't mind me asking, and if you haven't already mentioned it.
If silent prayer meant sitting quiet and relaxing for 8 days it's pretty easily explained. I'm doing it as I write, taking 10 days off. I'm much more relaxed and it's got eff all to do with God or spirits.
A lot of people say Christian just because they were Christened. They've not been to church or have read the bible ever. The next generation should reduce the number to 20% hopefully, for proper minority status. It didn't help the way the question was put on the census.
What I don't understand is surely the Bible story was written for people to follow a 'good' (and I use the term incredibly loosely) life and the point at which people start to believe any of it approaches the realms of retardation.
