It’s bizarre how so many people are unable to look forward and see the big problems that are coming if we remain in status quo.
It will be really interesting to see how those same people respond in a few weeks when relaxation plans start to come in to play and the government will essentially...
I always said it would be the long term effect of recession that killed more people. Does the time frame matter more than the total? The Guardian is merely presenting the findings of the report which is available in multiple places. I don’t trust any main stream billionaire owner self serving...
Which is why we entered lock down and social distancing. To protect the NHS and flatten the curve. That number would also assume every single person in the country caught the disease which isn’t realistic.
Really interesting article and confirms if correct that the death rate from the controlled environment of the cruise ship was in the right territory for what would happen in wider society without misrepresented stats.
Think Government are choosing the economy. See the subtle new change to the relaxation guidelines. I’m glad that it appears someone is prepared to make the tough decisions required to avert long term disaster.
Oh there you are again, didn’t see your reply to me posting evidence yesterday and the challenge over calling me a ‘nutter’ both breaching NSC engagement rules and highlighting your inability to calmly argue against anyone who presents any challenge to your mainstream programming. What I stated...
Over 120k people died as a result of the measures that had to be implemented as a result of the last recession. The one that’s coming if the lockdown is extended is going to dwarf that. At what point do you make a decision on which problem is going to kill the most people?
Anyway looks like...
I don’t think you can use those comparison stats. Germany are only counting those that died of covid, UK count anyone who died of anything whilst they had it. Also I believe lots of those other countries are also only counting hospital death so unfair to only include that against UK stats.
A big question I have is if the WHO are saying those people who have had the disease may not have immunity how the hell is a vaccine EVER going to work? A vaccine is essentially a weaker version of the disease injected into someone so they can build up immunity. If the WHO are correct that...
Posts rubbish or you just cant conceive an angle to the debate that doesn't comply with your programming? I've posted lots of content to support the things I have argued.
Asking for evidence on whether Swedens economy will fare better will be understood in due course but surely its common...
What do you want evidence on? That Swedens economy will fare better or that more people will die of long term economic depression than Covid?

Even now? Really? The articles I've seen suggest the Nightingale hospitals have staff but nowhere near getting any patients as the beds aren't needed. Still plenty in normal hospitals, which incidentally away from Covid and ICU are like ghost towns as people who need help are having life...
Common sense. All their shops and enterprises are trading. If you want evidence on the drastic impact on mortality from long term recession and poverty I can find you plenty, as can you with a simple google search. Trust me the way we are heading it will make covid death look insignificant...
Swedens economy will be in far better shape and therefore for more likely to avoid the probable huge amounts of deaths (far exceeding Covid) resultant in the inevitable economic collapse driven by prolonged lock down.
