We have direct experience of this from 1996, of course. Back then, in the football league, the answer was: play at 11am on the following thursday, with the chairman of the other club potentially affected by the result in attendance.
A good test of how strong the EPL is compared to other European leagues will be next season's performances. If results are good and the coefficient remains high with nine or ten teams competing, then the Premier League really is pulling away. More likely (and, I think, how this 'extra Champions...
I recognise some of this. Last weekend, I deleted Facebook from my phone and it has made a difference. It took 10 seconds, I haven't deleted my account. I can still look at FB, Insta, Tiktok links on my computer if a friend sends me one, but this seems to be the way to avoid that 'one reel after...
I just want to say that you don't owe us all updates on this, not least as it's obviously really upsetting for your daughter. Fair play to you for taking this up with Barber and co, but if you choose to (let them) deal with it behind the scenes, that's your call. If you choose to share, though...
Totally unacceptable. Women and girls should not have to put up with this shit anywhere. At Albion's ground, with Albion's suppliers doing nothing about it, the club is implicated. I'd expect Paul Barber to be interested if you/she contact him.
I don't see how the 'daylight' rule would be giving "the benefit of the doubt" to the striker. Surely it just moves the line where offside or not is decided. There's still a point where offside meets not-offside, and that's where the disputes and the endless VAR checking would still happen.
Just three yellow cards in 33 appearances this season is impressive too. He doesn't dive in unnecessarily. Unless you think he should be buying the occasional yellow to break up play after a turnover??
The Terrace Beamback ticket for today doesn’t have a “add to wallet” option but does have folding instructions. Does that mean I have to print it? EDIT: Just spotted the small print saying it can be saved on your phone and scanned on entry
I'm quite looking forward to strolling down to the top floor of the Marina car park for the novelty value (there's a short cut from opposite the bottom of Arundel Road that attendees of the Sunday morning marina car boot will know) ... but the club's late and low profile communications on this...
It really looks to me like people's differing views on the issue boil down to what they mean by "fair": rewarding loyalty/financial commitment, or being more inclusive, which means introducing more churn or randomness into ticket allocation. Different definitions, but both sides use the same word.
I went on the stadium tour a couple of years ago. There is a (very modest) trophy cabinet which, iirc, has no recognition of the 1910 charity shield, nor the 1958 title.
Well, 7% of people send their kids to private school. And the Telegraph and Times keep telling us how hard it is for these people that they now have to pay VAT on school fees. So maybe they can't afford to renew their Albion season tickets
I'm the same age as the OP, so this got me wondering how much age has to do with how I feel about the Albion's situation. I reckon that, as I've got older, it's easier to get football in perspective ... but, on the other hand, this team is obvs the best I've seen in 45 years of following the...
Oh, whereabouts are they? There has long been some bike parking space right at the edge of the car park near the top entrance, but it's those terrible racks that are only ever installed by people who don't cycle, which don't enable you to lock your frame to the rack because they are so low.
