Despite his heroics, I didn't think Mitoma looked anything like 100% on Monday.

There were a few instances where he just didn't chase back. Welbeck gave him a "what the hell was that?" shrug at one point, and I took Mitoma's gestured response that he just wasn't capable.

I even thought he was possibly going to be subbed off at one point.

Based on that, I'd be slightly surprised if he's deemed capable of starting.

So what happens if a team does have to postpone the last game of the season? The one where everybody is supposed to play at the same time?

I assume it doesn't (has never?) happened since the main reasons for a game to be postponed (freezing or waterlogged) aren't really an issue in May, or with modern top level playing surfaces.

But is there a rule for it, I wonder?
We have direct experience of this from 1996, of course. Back then, in the football league, the answer was: play at 11am on the following thursday, with the chairman of the other club potentially affected by the result in attendance.

theres no way it makes a difference now if we finish 8th or 9th because Chelsea aint finishing 7th so lets give Rushworth a chance or Steele a runout, being the first since his injury?
Providing we get a point it will only take a Champions League chasing Forest to beat Chelsea and a Champions League chasing Villa to not lose to Man Utd for Chelsea to finish 7th and us 8th......

Yes, he looked like he was struggling.

I see him as a sub, coming on with 1/2 hour to go.

This. This game is the definition of a ‘must win’ (unlike those in September people will claim are ‘must win’ games :lolol:) even if the outcome ultimately proves to be out of our hands. Fab isn’t going to **** about with the lineup. Strongest available team/bench.
Pedantically, it is the definition of a must not lose: 1 point will ensure 8th place. Otherwise we’ll have to hope Vulvas get a result vs Brentford
