As the years go by, I lean more and more on a comment Frank Skinner made on his podcast/radio show that he'd prefer to ask someone a question even if the answer is imperfect, than cut out the human interaction to use Google.What I love is that it is easier and faster to use google for this question, but we all trust NSC far more.

100% this. And it drives me mad that you can't opt out. I really don't need generative AI for the vast majority of queries, so why waste so much electricity doing this stupid AI trick to give me a result that I don't trust and will probably ignore in favor of the first regular Google result which is usually what I'm looking for.All the more so now that google is generative AI, making it less reliable
