Can't help but notice how many empty seats there always are at the Etihad. Wish they'd just built to a more reasonable capacity, would probably help the atmosphere as well
Howe's worked wonders but Newcastle are playing way above their heads, both backed by statistics (outperforming xG) and by the eye test (we all know Almiron isn't actually a world beater). Reckon they'll finish top half but out of Europe.
As for the rest of the thread, I think the answer is...
Loved that Maupay had the attitude to just take it. Some might see it as poor form but every team needs a bit of an edge, and I love Maupay's borderline sociopathic pursuit of goals.
Burn has to track Abraham towards the center and James gets acres alone on the right. Needs rethinking. Really feels like Mooy or Propper need to settle wider defensively.
Here’s the view from the west stand:
Thought it looked great! Literally can't imagine thinking it was embarrassing, but some people are set on making life harder for themselves and others I suppose.
Wonder how fit Bernardo is. We could move Montoya to the left to handle Doherty if absolutely desperate - can't imagine any of our giants would be able to handle the pace. Would love to see Trossard start, of course, but he might not be ready for it. Fotmob has us down for a 4-4-2, but at times...
Would love for us to lock up a long term deal so I can feel comfortable getting a jersey with his name on it! He's been key in our two biggest wins of the year.
