I seem to remember seeing on the very first plans for the Amex shown at a presentation at Hove Town Hall there was going to be a bridge access it the West Upper level or at least the lounge level from the University access road. It got binned off in later redesigns when they reduced the steel...
Are they hoping the traffic cones will come to life and fix the drainage issue without the need for any human or machine to be involved? It seems at the moment that is the strategy.
Looks like it’s going to be quite open to the outside air, even the top bar level. Not going to be a warm place to be in the winter! At least anyone in there will be dry if it’s raining.
Well that’s a bit shit! I thought it would be some Sort of new bar area built into the concourse about like as they have done in the west lower stand. I was thinking the use of old dicks for the shop might free up a bit of the lower level of the shop(stock room) to make some sort of smaller...
It is 95%likely to be the battery. I’d get a new one as it’s going to need one anyway sometime very soon. The fact it has happened in this cold weather means it is a case of an old battery finally giving up.
Seems odd that the Albion seem to be able to make use of Bennett’s field again. Noticed it’s been used by Adenstar construction for quite a while and now by the club itself. Also by the police a few times for higher profile games. Looks like we have a working relationship with the owners...
Seems odd that the Albion appear to be using the Bennett’s field casually for the building of the fan zone, or at least storing or some of the construction materials, but not for use during match days for parking whilst the current owners ponder the start of the new student accommodation build...
Another season at Blackburn under Eustace would work. Blackburn will be a much better team next year under Eustace and it sounds like he is wanted back there and should get more game time.
Took my nephew to the game on Saturday. Decided to go with a pre match burger in the ESL. Nephews had no bread bun on top, just a burger resting on the bottom half of a bun. My cheeseburger was stone cold, not even luke warm. Cheese was as rigid as the second it came out the fridge. Awful.
Yes you need to know what bits to hit for maximum effect, but thanks to google maps satellite view and a basic knowledge of refining it’s easy to Identify & target the more critical bits of the plant, ideally the more combustible parts of the plant post crude oil distillation columns which are...
I would say that may will be the long term plan. Also heard rumours the club shop may move to a different location on the stadium site and that space repurposed for more match day bar / food use which will mean Dicks is no longer required. I suppose it all first hinges on the fanzine happening.
Shame all the land currently being redeveloped around the back of Hove station (Sackville Road) was not available at the time. Right next to the old Goldstone ground and Hove station perfectly positioned.
Corals stadium site would have been ideal as well.
Sadly always going to be housing...
Been there several times. It’s clearly absolutely premeditated and planned. It’s not the sort of place you can get to without a very long walk or someone to drive you close, then still a lengthy walk. Unlikely a 16 year old would drive there by themselves. To carry a big chainsaw there makes...
I’m sure the original plans for the west upper had a footbridge that went across from concourse level to the Brighton Uni side (top of the legends wall). Sadly it got removed as part of the redesign when the roof height was lowered. Would have made access much easier for those less mobile.
Lack of food and the staff to sell what little food they did have must have cost the club alot of money today. Its not like they were not expecting a crowd today! Shambles. My money will instead be spent on an Indian takeaway tonight.
