Disgusting!
Gives me an idea though, maybe we should club in and rent a flat near Selhurst Park and complain about the noise there. Close down that dive.
Interesting that the interviewer asked Sherwood directly about Brighton when a few clubs like West Brom are on the look out for a manager. I wouldn't be surprised if that was partly set up so Sherwood would be given the opportunity to tout for the job.
Pretty much the best squad he could have picked, considering we have as much chance of getting out of round 1 as my cat, Mr Kitty has of winning next years men's Wimbledon title, and she's a girl.
Will put the building blocks for England to get to round 2 next time.
Silly game cricket, especially 20/20 and it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I am Surrey born and bred that travelled over the no man's land of the south downs to reach the promised land of Brighton to find my true home. The bit in between, a convenient kip on the train from...
I am personally not really a true believer in the high line, AVB's blind insistence in sticking to the system so rigidly was his undoing and also incredibly dull. Sherwood is a little bit more flexible with it and didn't play a game that relied on so much possession. The adjustments he made...
Interesting to see that other than Leeds, Brighton and Hove have the highest match day and commercial revenues. Amazing when you consider that they nearly dropped out of the league and out of business without a home a few years ago.
Amongst Spurs fans who know more about the inside running of the club, Ramsey is hugely respected. Tactically very aware and probably the biggest influence on our academy. I kind of suspect however that he may not have the presence to be a big influence as a manager. It would be pointless...
He is a passionate and confident lad, he does make himself out as a bit of a twonk in some interviews, but in many others he has conducted himself well considering his employers have announced his departure whilst still in the job.
AVB stats will look better due to Europa league games this season, but bear in mind two of the teams they played in the group stage last year got relegated from the Norwegian and Russian
leagues, its probably best to stick to Prem League matches :)
Ok, I don't know as much about Brighton's budget as you do, my understanding is that the club has a debt of £5m - £8m season on season. Obviously this is going to limit you guys on transfer funds but how does that stack up in terms of budget on players wages against other championship teams...
He played a lot of 4-4-2 especially the last few games. I won't deny he is a manager in development, but he is learning.
You also need to distance the stupid comments form Spurs fans who slag him off. Since we got into the Champions League that one time and had Bale, we have unfortunately...
Mackay on the face of things would be a solid fit, but correct me if I am wrong, didn't he have mucho ££££ to spend in relative terms to get Cardiff up?
You hit the nail on the head with the words "catchment area" potential for this club is huge given the fact that there is no half decent team in a 40 mile radius. Regarding Hoddle, my favourite player but don't bank on him as a manager. Go to the THTV forum (quite reasonable most of the time)...
The Brighton fans I have spoken to didn't expect to reach the play off's and most felt that they lost to Derby because they were the better team. Sherwood had the money and opportunity to buy players in the January but chose not to and instead pushed youth players through at Spurs. You think...
PS, it's a body warmer, not a gillet, Sherwood stopped wearing it a few weeks ago when he throw it on the ground in a hissy fit. Plus Les Ferdinand, not so sure he is all that great, since he is a Striker coach and Spurs have not had so much luck in the striker department in recent years.
As a Spurs fan who lives in Brighton and goes to the odd game at BHAFC, I think Sherwood would make an excellent choice as the Seagulls next manager. I will give a few reasons why but first I will address some of his shortcomings that have been highlighted both on this forum and on Spurs forums...
