I was also at Oasis at Finsbury Park in 2002. Agree totally, it was a miserable experience. Crowd karaoke made it impossible to hear the band, and beer being thrown everywhere, all the time. I recommend you tap into HT’s advice - his knowledge of the best bars and areas is second to none.

Yes, that was a brilliant night, and a superb few days in Berlin. The venue is lovely, and I don’t remember noticing the sound being quiet, but as HT says, we were near the front. I also remember it being really easy to get to and from, from the centre of Berlin - no hanging around for ages...
