I agree, I don’t really see what your point was when you replied to me on this.
Everyone should get a fair crack of a whip, everyone qualified and appropriate for a job should be seen, and from that pool ideally a good mixture of people with different backgrounds and insights will make a more...
Absolutely, and disabled people are a protected group by law. You’re preaching to the converted here.
But again, I can only relay back to my own personal experiences in my job.
Not everyone can do every job. Sorry, but it’s true.
Did you read my first hand example? I can only speak from my own experience.
I wasn’t “forced” to hire anyone, because I would’ve walked and claimed breach of contract and unsafe working conditions (hiring wasn’t even meant to be my job), but I was very strongly encouraged to make a certain...

Yeah, H&S is woke gone mad anyway. Broken Britain, etc.
Did make me laugh that time mate I’ll admit ;)
But can we somehow make this about Wetherspoons?
An excellent point.
But again, there is a lot of generalisation about “work”.
Work could be making reasonable accommodations for a disabled person to be able to do their job - such as having an accessible desk and computer set up in an office environment - wouldn’t be any good if a building...
Absolutely.
My point is in my experience it is simply impossible based on the candidates available to make an inclusive hire if the candidates aren’t available to you who could actually do the job advertised.

Surely we won’t be out buying a replacement if Bart does move on this summer (for a very big fee). We have so many goalkeepers, Rushworth and Scherpen would be fighting for the shirt, surely?
World class footballer who would get minutes and provide assists and goals for any club in world football. An absolutely brilliant player and club legend.
Yet it would be considered by most to be very seedy if the sexes of each party had been reversed. The story would rightly be that the French President groomed a 15 year old girl while he was 40 years old and in a position of trust and authority.
People get very emotional over political issues. The difference is having an emotional reaction online considerably lowers the chance of getting knocked the f*** out than calling someone a Nazi to their face.
Which ironically would confirm their own prejudices even further. “Officer, we were...
I’m not (Alex) Revelling in his struggles at all personally. Always wanted him to do well and get his head screwed on. He lost crucial development time when having his personal issues, and honestly hasn’t kicked on as many of us hoped. Aside from showing promise under Rosenior at Hull for a...
