Can anyone check but I've got Gordon on 10 yellow cards for the season now but I can't seem to find anywhere that indicates he's banned tomorrow night?! The Argus only mentions that Halford or Hughes will be coming in for Dunk. The BHA website has Gordon on 10 yellows and if you look at the...
Who's that man from Scandinavia
Who's that man we all abhor
Sami Hyypia is his name
And we're losing every game
So we don't want him as manager anymore!
Moving on from the grim dissection of our current form I've found the bore stat of the day: Today's draw clocked up our 1000th league draw to go along with the current total of 1500 wins! Also one more goal required for 5500 and since our time at The Amex home and away we've won 57, drawn 55 and...
Well history at the Amex shows that we have now got our worst 3 months of each season out of the way. Our record for Aug, Sep and Oct shows we have played 23 times, Won 8 Drawn 7 and Lost 8 (never having won a game in October!) then the rest of the season we get tough to beat as we've played 38...
Can you please advise what Crystal Palace's away attendance was for the Play-Off 2nd Leg at the Amex last season as I can't find the figure anywhere. Thanks.
Now the home season is over and we're talking about attendances and stats, in my sad statto world I've woked out we attacked the North Stand in every game this season except for Palace and during the season scored 32 goals in the North end and only 9 in the South! The oppo's scored 13 in the...
Happy stat of the day! If we don't score again today it'll be our worst run for not scoring since the dark days of Gillingham in 1998/99 when we went 5 games without finding the net between 9th March and 3rd April 1999! Let's hope someone's backside can get in the way of a scuffy shot or clearance!
Spooky ball grabbing coincedence out of the velvet bag!!!

Hi Paul,
Do you know if there any plans to a) update the match reports on the website and b) include in the match programmes as in previous seasons, the away support for each match? I note that the Swindon, Northampton, Carlisle & Tranmere games on the website don't give a total of our support...
Here's one for the stat fans - Today was the first time we have lost at home in March on a Saturday at Withean and only the 4th time in 30 games played in March (won 18, drawn 8 lost 4) And yes I do have too much time on my hands!:tumble:
Sad stat of the day - I don't know about playing on Friday nights in December, maybe we shouldn't play at all, as we have now lost 7 matches in a row when we have played at Withdean in December! The last win was on December 9th 2006 against Cheltenham.
Unfortunately January's record isn't much...
Would it be possible to ask the Club shop to produce a calendar that runs from the start of the season when players that will be actually at the Club appear in the calendar as the 2008 one now has (including Joel Lynch) 6 players no longer with Brighton. I know calendars run Jan-Dec and they are...
A fitting way to notch up league win no. 100 at Withdean with easily the worst weather we've ever encountered against the team who we have played the most at the racetrack (8 times). For the record its 100 wins, 56 draws and 59 defeats; 317 goals for and 231 against!!
If anyone wants to come and support Sussex's remaining representative, Findon, in the Final of the National Village Cricket Cup at Lords on Sunday Sep 9th, please come along. They will be there after beating Oxford Downs by 49 runs (142 all out to 93 all out) this afternoon. Well done to Graham...
May I just congratulate Findon Cricket Club from West Sussex who today won at Rowledge in Surrey in the National Village Cricket Cup Quarter-Final. Findon scored 181-9 off their 40 overs and bowled Rowledge out for 161 with 9 balls to go. The fielding in the game by both teams was really good...
The sad statto that I am has realised that this Saturday will be our 200th game at Withdean!!
From promising beginnings when we had the best home record of any League team in our 2nd season at our 'temporary' home, (19 wins, 2 draw and 2 defeats in 1999/2000, and similar the follwing season...
So far this season we won 2 and drew 1 out of the first three league games then we lost 3.
Then we won 2 and drew one of the next three, followed by 4 defeats.
Now we've won another 2 and drawn 1 of the last 3 so prepare for diddly squat from the next 5!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thankfully records and...
