I think most fans can accept that the academy will be the way forward in the long term. And that's absolutely fine. But I said it a few days ago, and I'll say it again, there is this thing hanging over Blooms shoulder now called expectation.
If we going to try and tread water in this division...
Your optimism is admirable, however, this time last year we still had Bridcutt, Ulloa, Barnes, Buckley, Koosh and Upson. And they are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
And we have o'Grady, Hughes, Stockdale (ok), Toko as replacements. We knew what we had this time last year...
Does not sound like a bloke that will be here after Aug 31 unless things change dramatically*
*obviously not saying he will quit! just saying that's how down he sounds
That's they key point. It's only if you are signing a credit agreement that the club can either make the contract enforceable or register cancelling the DD has an outstanding debt. I don't know if the interest free season ticket is a credit agreement?
Quite. The issue here now is that we 'appear' to have caved in on both wages and transfer fee, which suggests that not only were we clearly never in the driving seat on this deal (although I think we all knew that) and trying to play too much hardball, but that secondly, even the club...
I imagine many of them feel the same way actually - they would all want to see better calibre of players coming to the club, and fast.
They just aren't allowed to take to internet message boards to view their concerns. Apart from a few loose cannons Barton.
Perhaps it was a deliberate middle-finger salute. I.e. You've dicked me around all summer haggling over a few grand here and there, now I'm going to go all the way and p1ss off elsewhere at the last minute. Wrong, on so many levels, but entirely out of the question?
Mmm that's what I was thinking.
I'm also going to take Hyppia being furious with Ward and his agent with a pinch of salt. We're told that Hyppia has nothing to do with transfers, so he'll only be regurgitating what the recruitment team have told him.
