Freedman's got a clever strategy:
Get them relegated, so that he can try and get the glory of a promotion in season 2013/14, just to say that he CAN do it.
At Championship level, how many strikers do it every week? Lambert? Holt? Other than that, it's hard to think of one.
If Barnes scored or made assists in half the games per season, that would be success.
Ashley Barnes is generally liked and appreciated by the vast majority of Albion fans and nsc users.
He works his socks off, but far more importantly has this habit of scoring goals.
Not bad for a young man who cost the club very little.
Of course, there will always be a dozen or so vocal...
As much as thought Dicker should be replaced (today's performance was a pleasant surprise), to boo those 2 before kickoff is incredible.
Wonder if the characters booing were true and long term Albion supporters?
Great day, topped by:
Adkins grim look on SSN as their home PL homecoming went down the pan
(a S'ton fan on 5live said their post match phone on their local radio was crammed with calls of "Adkins must go"!)
and seeing Freedman's result as they march to a relegation.

Appears to be amazing at everything you'd expect of fullback, and more.
Almost toying with inferior Barnsley players, when he was in attack.
Bridge is class too.
Over the last 16 months I was desparately hoping that they'd get 2 class fullbacks, and now it's a job well done by Gus & TB.
We need bids for:
CMS
Harley
Dicker
Ankergren
With the funds and/or reduced payroll costs, used swiftly to buy a class finisher & creator backup for Vicente.
This.
The final piece is the proven goal scorer, or 2. That will take pressure off the rest of the team (e.g. the defence has only got to ship one goal, and it's game over with CMS failing).
I'd also worry about creativity in the centre, if Vicente becomes injury prone again.
Yes, but how much transfer fee money has Gus been handed this Summer? ... so far very little.
If the Board have reined that in, when rivals are buying or taking loanees of quality, we can't blame the continuing lack of goals and also early results all on Gus.
Spot on, again!
£4m+ was spent out of trading (not TB money, which in the Amex era is on capital projects only) income last Summer on transfer fees when we were a smaller club, had smaller crowds, and NO ONE knew there were going to be lucrative cup games against Sunderland, Liverpool twice and...
