Did a tour with a local group of some of the WW1 sites with a professional guide a couple of years ago. He completed the weekend by taking us on a trip to the Dunkirk beaches visiting and describing various events and places on the way. We went to the large Commonwealth cemetery in Dunkirk also...
From what I've seen and read weren't the actual guns found further inland after the attack by the US Rangers. They hadn't been put in their emplacements.
At the show I went to he said that it would definitely not be a football show but, of course, there was some mention along the way. Particularly I remember the story of the coach of Millwall supporters trying to get a drink on the way home.
I know of BHA fans living out in the villages on the Kent border, Wadhurst, Ticehurst, Hurst Green etc. They travel on the Seagulls over Burwash coaches and are lifelong supporters. And there have been visits from Tony Bloom, Paul Barber and others.
I've not seen the whole interview so have no idea if these quotes were taken out of context but he is what he is. I have just finished his book which I enjoyed and he admits that he has problems dealing with highly paid players. Not his style. I believe that he has got more promotions on his...
Very interesting and picturesque but mostly rebuilt I believe and full of Japanese and Chinese tours when we were there. Daughter and partner getting a permanent residence nearer the Pyrenees which we hope to visit this summer.
Competition means that they all have to play to and maintain their best level of performance to retain their place. If not their competitor replaces them.. It ultimately means that the overall team performance is at its highest.
Forgot to mention that also in Arras at the old fortress until recently still used by the French Army there is, in the dry moat at the rear, a post marking the spot of the original at which a large number of French Underground members were shot. Their memorials are on the wall alongside. Very...
Have stayed in Arras whilst on organised trip from our village to trace the memorials of local men. The railway station was heavily bombed by the Germans in 1940 and the war memorial in front shows the shrapnel scars.
Lovely area for a stroll and for a pint or two. Always start at the Jenny Lind. Sorry to see the number of Shepherd Neame pubs there now (including the Anchor, the Hastings Arms and The Stag).
Love to have him at Brighton but would he fit in to the club's system and I remember him allowing himself to be intimidated by Middlesborough's George Friend.Perhaps he's learned from that.
This has been happening for years. Those secluded bays around the south east have been used for smuggling for centuries. Now its people that are being brought in!
Available at your local building supplies company. Comes with a backplate as well which you probably wont need. Just hang the new box on the old backplate. Well that's all I had to do.
Enjoyed that and I can relate to it as can many no doubt. I was involved in local lower league and boys football for years and recognise many of the points you make. Making all the arrangements for the weekend game and then spending ages contacting everyone to cancel it is so frustrating.
