    Congratulations & other stuff...

I'm sorry, but I don't know what you're driving at. Millwall fans aren't like Palace we are not obsessed with gates. 1,600 to Reading mid-week for a club that averages 12,500 is good. Especially when all our away games are all-ticket and members only. I didn't even know this was any kind of...

    Congratulations & other stuff...

Oh yes, I remember that 4-1 game well. We sold out the away end but by half time most had left, it was that bad both on & off the pitch. I stayed until the bitter end, as my girlfriend promised she'd pick me up after shopping...and no way was I walking home, even if was just to Bear Road, about...

    Ok chaps...well done for promotion

I think it's very important to try & keep your home record. Millwall fans are immensely proud of our 59 home game unbeaten run, and the fact we've been unbeaten at home all-season a record 5 times. It's a great achievement & I hope Brighton achieve it this season.

    Congratulations & other stuff...

Because we sell out London games and take a lot to southern fixtures (Watford, Reading, Southampton, Gillingham, Luton etc) all get 2-3,000 Wall fans, plus even midland clubs see over 1,500 Wall. It's just past Birmingham our support slips down to 500-600. Brighton is only 40 minutes from...

    Congratulations & other stuff...

You're right. But, you've got to think of Millwall as like a tough inner city comprehensive. It's an on going project & you cant click a finger to change things over night. Unless the club leave the area to somewhere like Buckinghamshire there will always be an element at the club. And to be...

    Ok chaps...well done for promotion

I remember in 1988 we had clinched not only promotion to the Top Flight, but also the title at Hull City in the last but one game. The last game of the season was at fortress Den. Where we had been strong all season. We were playing Blackburn, who were vying with Palace for the last Play-Off...

    5 games to go - in 2008/09

Northern girls are such good fun & very easy. Ipswich is just about the dullest town in the UK. So dull they started murdering hookers for entertainment.

List of Championship players available on a free this summer

To be fair our best players this season have been: Forde - Cardiff reject. Trotter - Ipswich reject. Henry - Reading reject. Mkandawire - Free from Leyton Orient. Morison - Stevenage. Biggest disappointment - Craig Eastmond, highly reccommended from Arsenal.

Has already signed a new contract at The Den. And Bouazza is set to sign in next few weeks.

    Congratulations & other stuff...

You could organise Brighton v Gillingham as the friendly to open it. Now you know you won't be playing them next season. Be a nice way to get closure. And to show off to Scally!

    5 games to go - in 2008/09

I'd rather go to Morecambe than Ipswich any Saturday of the season...but, yes, I know what you're saying. Could be a great division next year...some good away days for us..West Ham (fingers crossed), Wolves, Forest, Brighton, Palace, Southampton (maybe), Rochdale (please)...

Nice sentiment. However, looking forward to visting Derby County, Ipswich Town and Coventry City?? You poor fellows, you have bee through it, haven't you!

    Congratulations & other stuff...

Back in 1996. It was a mid-week game. And ironically the first time you had beaten us at The Den (or at all) in decades. It was the famous south London derby in the snow match. And at the Old Den in the late 70s & 80s it was not uncommon for Charlton or Palace not to bring more than 1,000...

    Congratulations & other stuff...

Funny enough, Millwall's first ever game at The Den, and indeed in south London, as opposed to the Isle of Dogs, was versus Brighton & Hove Albion. The then Southern League Champions. The Seagulls up-setting 40,000 south Londoners (and Eastenders) by winning 1-0. It would be great to repay the...

    Congratulations & other stuff...

Ha. Thanks. We certainly have Leeds sweating again. Although, I think we shall just miss out. Which could be a blessing in disguise, as this is no flash in the pan. This Millwall is built on rock, not sand. I think we'll have an even more surprising season next year-we are building up to...

    Congratulations & other stuff...

According to the Millwall History files The Millwall History Files you indeed did. You also beat us at The Den 1-0. That looked an awful season for us. Finishing 16th, getting beat by Palace home & away..very rare. However, we did get to the Q-F of the FA Cup, knocked out by eventual winners...

    Congratulations & other stuff...

Charlton Athletic & Norwich City have filled both tiers and received no aggro. I admit both were easily beaten. But, neither is a trouble club.

    Congratulations & other stuff...

I would never make out we our angels. We are, after all, an inner city London club with no history of success. It would be naiive to think we could not have some unsavory characters following us. The bedrock of the support is still drawn from the estates of Walworth, Deptford, New Cross...

    Congratulations & other stuff...

The police will only allow 2,400 fans to be in the Upper Tier. This is to cordon off some of the seats to the side of the stand. If you sell these fast enough you will be given a futher 900 or so tickets on the lower tier. Taking the allocation up to 3,300. Again, sections nearest the side...

    Ok chaps...well done for promotion

To be fair you were up against a very organised side and your young players had to face 15,000 fired up Millwall fans under the lights at The Den. I think that experience will help you immensely should you have to go through the play-offs again. After facing us last year I hardly think the likes...
