[Help] Those Darned Yanks? Endangered English, part 94

Interesting. I'm certainly guilty of the first infraction and use 'likely' in that way routinely. I'll think first next time. I also use the second though I'm not sure it's so much of an offence. I think 'impact' is broadly considered to also be a verb. One that really gets my goat is...

Regardless of what colours are returned, is it a good strategy to always start your first two goes with two words with common letters, and build from there?

No-one's talking about making a gargantuan effort to move Jacob Rees-Mogg's drinks cabinet 6 inches closer to Cardiff, but it does seem like it would make administrative sense to have the border circle the town.

8 of their starting 11 are English (and 9 from the British isles). Very impressive.

[Albion] Jakub Moder - SIGNED ON 5 YEAR DEAL - LOANED BACK "FOR THE TIME BEING"

This is an interesting point. Midfield rotation allows you to adjust your team according to the opponent, but it also keeps your squad match fit and happy. Always sticking to the same players gives the less collegiate squad members cause to be disruptive. I wonder what Potter's thinking is.

    [Albion] Enock Mwepu (Retired 10/10/2022)

I have to agree with this. I am still deeply unconvinced. Sometimes he looks like he's won a competition to be there. The assist was fine, but it was just an up and over into a lot of space. Happy to be proved wrong, of course...

Yeah, happy with Gareth at the helm, not least because it's a refreshing change to listen to an intelligent and empathetic football manager. Can you imagine that toad Allardyce opining on the Knee?

Hi Dancing Ninja, Actually, I don't 'do' any sizes. I just put designs up on the website. Spreadshirt are the ones who provide the material, print them, and make the money. What you need to do is customise the product. So, go to the product you like and click 'customise'. Then click 'change...

[Albion] If the Albion were bought out by the Saudis

Quite. And they don't seem to be articulating their training. I would be heartbroken if the club I had loved for a generation was suddenly the extension of a murderous regime. The premier League have let the Newcastle fans down here - it is their responsibility to protect clubs in the interests...
