If money isn't a major issue, as others have said re volunteering, you could put your copywriting / PR skills to use for a small non-profit. Most areas have volunteer portals where such opportunities are advertised / volunteers advertise themselves. Ones that are involved in campaigning might...
If there are any NSC subscribers interested in directly influencing change, DCMS is presently advertising for a Deputy Director of their Policy Unit which covers (amongst many things) football regulation. You should be able to find the role advertised on LinkedIn, closing 7th April. It will of...
In that pragmatic Australian way they have a much more flexible approach to personalising plates and a lot of the time it is done for business or sport club loyalty reasons rather than any snobbery* etc. See https://vplates.com.au/
When I was in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago this one caught...
Yes absolutely.
Unfortunately the PM has made a clear commitment to sell off assets "deep in the bones of this nation"
Let's hope that some blood-on-hands country bids for Wigan - then maybe the Secretary of State will push back on this unnecessary grandstanding on being 'open for business.'...
Difficult to add anything to all the wise words here beyond thanking the @Kosh for sharing. It's a brilliant example of that wonderful parental quality of selflessness - a subtle but crucial part of parenting that is never as easy as it sounds and will not always be recognised until long after...
Apologies if this has already appeared here, I couldn't see it - though others are usually quicker to report Led by Donkeys adventures.
Is anything happening with secondhand Tesla values / saleability?
Easy to feel disappointed but such a solid performance bodes well for us. Yes you can talk about the maybes, but overall better to celebrate a point won deservedly by the whole team.
I was a complete PC / Laptop MS Windows fan and thought Macs were for hipsters and then that MS tablet thing came out in 2013/14?? and it was useless and needed even more rebooting than my PC. I replaced it with an ipad which blew it away and now I am a total Mac user with many different Apple...
I do think the idea of a large number club-bought, low emission buses running a shuttle to Brighton station using some bus lane / A27 road alterations for a high volume pick up and set down point is an idea that has been mentioned time and time again that is eminently doable and affordable. They...
Here's an idea (as the OP asked for ideas) - I've mentioned this book before in other threads - read this book to understand the scale of the challenge that anyone who seeks to boycott faces. You might need to buy it other than from Amazon. If you haven't read it, pre prepared to be depressed.
Regardless of the likelihood or otherwise, this continuing to rumble and the uncertainty must be part of the set back. Their own internal rumour mill must be hard to keep on top of for morale retention etc, even in a cocky blood-money club like this.
I was riveted so stayed until the end. The atmosphere generally was better than I was expecting with the tv coverage and it was one of those matches that being there was miles better than tv.
But having experienced plenty of the travel issues in the past I can understand why early departure...
Safe travels. Flew to LHR this morning and bus to LGW (long story) before train down later this afternoon. Airports seemed fairly quiet as I think it is just missing half term etc.(?) And it doesn't look like it will be raining on the train queue later.
I agree with Mrs PG. Does she have From Genesis to Revelation though? (I think their very first?) I can remember buying it in my Nursery Cryme days and being a bit disappointed.
