Because I am commenting on threads about Southampton and I like to listen to the points of view of other fans even if I disagree. I've commented on quite a few forums this year so I haven't made an exception for brighton.
Discounting the MK Dons game, the PPG ratio is close since Adkins came in so the point still stands. The opinion on my part is that our bad start to the season effectively meant that we weren't as close to challenging you as we could have been but lets leave it. Well done on winning the league...
On our forum we have those who are able to put forward their point of view sensibly and those who just hurl abuse too. It's something our boards have in common.
It's a matter of opinion but clearly we aren't going to agree. Lets see how we each perform next season in the NPC if we get there with a settled squad and pre season with settled coaching staff.
I would say it is at least partly based on the fact that we have been top dogs on the south coast for over twenty years until recently. Everyone likes it when the team above takes a fall. We are one of if not the biggest teams in this league (based on a host of factors) and so are going to be...
Nope Brighton performed better than saints at the beginning of the season before Adkins came in. Since there points per game ratio has been very similar. Our chairman f*cked up the early part of our season because of the Pardew debacle. Our form noticeably dropped after he left and we lost three...
It wasn't an external force, it was the dithering of our chairman. Next season will be interesting with a proper pre season not ruined by Pardew and a settled manager and team. We will see what happens.
I wasn't making any excuse. If you read the posts I actually criticised our chairman for dithering which I believe meant that we failed to properly challenge you.
I care about you as much as the other teams in this division. I also discussed my preference for you to be promoted over Huddersfield. I've been on a few fans forums this year to discuss issues with other fans and hear their points of view. It's interesting.
If it was such a tradition, please name ten teams in the least 100 years of league one (or division three) who have done it.
Merrington have been anti saints for most of this season and been criticised by the fans for it. Most recently was last month.
