WTAF?
I was making a specific point - to someone else - about the right to share.
That is, both an Albion season ticket and an annual rail ticket is a personal discount, and that you're not buying the right for a place at The Amex or on a train to give/sell it to someone else.
Now you're...
No worries.
Now tell me, why can't I share my annual train ticket with a mate?
I'll use 3 days a week, and then share 4 days a week with others when they fancy a trip into London. Some of them will pay me.
Seems to be enough space on the trains. No-one missing out. All good?
Fans in ground cheering the team on.... or someone's half-interested neighbour who actually supports Spurs but is well up for a bit of free Premier League action?
There are plenty of fans for non-regular Albion fans to pick-up tickets, inc sharing.
Allowing fans to 'give away' tickets would devalue them when the club currently struggles to sell out (certainly evening games).
It would also add to the number of away fans in home ends.
Etc etc. We've done this so many times now...
Thought it was interesting last week when someone on here said he'd bought a season ticket for next season... and admitted (twice) that he'd probably only make four or so home matches.
We have hundreds of STHers like that around the country.
And, I'd guess, at least 1000 who would never go to...
Late to this thread.
As we've seen from the responses, it very much depends on life stage and, in particular, mortgage situation.
I've been thinking a lot about finances recently.
I go to a lot of festivals, gigs, football etc because life's for living, right?
But prices are going through...
