"Sources with knowledge of the situation have told BBC Sport that Textor's personal share in the Selhurst Park side does not meet the 30% threshold - which is key in Uefa determining decisive influence - and that he has just 25% of the voting rights."

If that's the actual truth it's over, if wishful thinking we've still got hope.
If it's true, then why are UEFA still dealing with the matter, and why did he offer a blind trust thingy.

His share ownership is over 40%; his voting rights are 25%. I guess it’s the interpretation of these two facts that is critical if 30% is the threshold for determining decisive influence.

Like most people here, I feel it’s just a humorous sideshow with the inevitable result of those rotters will get a slap on the wrist. And a hefty enough fine to sate that mentalist Marinakis.

Other than an incompetent referee not sending their 'keeper off
It wasn't the fault of the referee, or indeed the linesman. He was well in front of what was happening so wouldn't have been able to determine if the ball was handled outside the box. It was a VAR issue.

Saying that Captain Beaky is making all the decisions is smoke and mirrors. UEFA wont have the wool pulled over their eyes.

In this article from last summer Steve Parish admits Palace collaborate with Textors clubs when they can. Sounds like how we are with RUSG.
This is the sort of thing that appears late in a tv court drama “so you are claiming you have nothing to do with x” “yes. That’s correct” “so why less than 12 months ago did you claim the opposite?”

And this from their 23/24 accounts.

I'm sure Uefa are well aware that whilst Textor's voting rights are only 25%, that's the same as Parish, Blitzer and Harris!

Surely if the three Americans back eachother, then they over rule Parish. Surely that is significant control.

If UEFA do allow Palace to participate in the EL, won’t that set a precedent for future European competitions, and won’t UEFA be at pains to avoid that?

In future, will dodgy owners/shareholders just ride roughshod over the rules, and use this Palace case as a get out clause.

Doesn’t our criminal law say that ignorance of the law is no defence?

Whatever the outcome, the fact Crystal Palace have allowed themselves to get into this position shows what an absolute clown show they are.

Why are the fans not furious at Beaky for allowing this to unfold? Why wouldn't you try and head this off once you made the quarters.. or the semis.. let alone the bleedin' FINAL. They did NOTHING. A disaster entirely of their own making, completely avoidable if they had even the smallest sprinkling of common sense. This whole trainwreck was 100% self-inflicted.

They're the luckiest club in the history of football, so they'll get away with it - but the fact they're even sweating is absolute GOLD. Absolute comedy show.

Beaky is just writing the latest media update for the new, much heralded super duper stand.
Always seems to rear its head, just when the hierarchy at Selhurst Park need a distraction to deflect from their latest self inflicted car crash.

Probably be claiming that finance is in place, and work starts in May 2026.

7 years in the making, and not one brick laid yet.

Even Kavel Solehkol on Sky Sports News put forward a very weak argument that Palarse should be allowed to play in Europe. Ignoring the rules to compete in a European competition by not getting the necessary paperwork done by March 1st is not a good enough excuse.
I can't believe the media narrative being peddled now. Kavel Solehkol giving an emotive plea live on Sky Sports News how unfair and ridiculous it would for Palace to lose their Europa spot without ANY consideration to the other arguments/points. The other side to the Palace sob story:

- Other clubs sorted their ownership models by March 1st bar Forest who at least did it by April.
- If Uefa let Palace in, then their rules won't hold up in the future for any other club
- If Uefa let Palace in, then they will have other clubs using the legal route against them, notably the mad Greek at Forest.
- He also peddled that quite frankly absurd point that how could Palace possible know they were going to win the FA cup by March 1st (everyone in NSC knew that mate)? Umm well, they were in the Quarter Finals on that day!
  • They got through to the semi's on March 1st so could have sorted their multi-club ownership then
  • They won the semi's on April 26th - still nothing
  • They won the FA cup on May 17th - still nothing
  • Between winning the cup on May 17th to June 3rd (nearly 3 weeks) when they had their 'emergency meeting' with Uefa they still haven't sorted their multi club model
That prat Kavel Solehko also saying that Crystal Palace and and their fans won't take that lying down. What does that mean?

Now the BBC are arguing that it is disproportionate? What do they know? They say that Palace don't benefit from the multi cub model. Ummm Parish confirmed that they did in an interview last year posted on this thread. They loan players to these clubs. Textor got Glasner in from all accounts. Textor's funds are massively required by Palace.

Beaky's Smoke and Mirrors nonsense is quite possibly going through a PR campaign and selling their sob story. The fact of the matter is, the four owners are only in it for themselves (Parish) and the monetary returns they get from Palace (the three Americans). It's why they are in this mess.

I have a feelingy that Beaky has a golden vote, so whatever he says goes. That would explain why Texter is getting all pissy-knickered - puts the most cash in but can't get anything he wants done.
