I know that you're all in suspense for the answer to the question about 11 counties. Rather surprisingly, the answer is 1950 against the West Indies. Like most of you, I thought it would be much later
I think this match at Trent Bridge?

Hutton missed out with "recurrence of lumbago" according to the Wisden report, which dates the match almost as much as England's attack including two leg spinners. I'm less clear on what prompted the other 4 changes to the XI.

Disappointingly, no Sussex representative, Sheppard made his debut in the next match. The next were 8 changes to the XI for that game, including the captain. :lolol:

That's the one. There was a Sussex player in the previous test match too. Anyone want to have a guess (without Googling)?

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Finn Hudson Prentice loaned to Derbyshire for Blast apparently.

Hughes out. A smaller crowd today than last Sunday.

Anyone know the reasoning behind Hudson-Prentice being loaned to Derbyshire when it would have made more sense to send Danny Lamb up there to get some match practice?
F H-P was in decent nick with bat & ball

FHP not getting in our T20 side at the moment. Good for him to try and stay in decent nick with bat & ball by playing for Derby. Can be recalled at any point of Sussex's choosing if needed.
