Thought we were maybe twenty runs
light. But Gloucestershire completely and comprehensively eviscerated.

Impressive. Bowling them out with 39 balls to spare won't help their NRR either. Enjoyed that.
I don't think I have seen that word in NSC before. I must use it.

Good starts for both Sussex and Somerset then. Good to see. Our two wins have been very comfortable chases against Essex and Surrey. Arguably should have won even more comfortably than we did. Our line up is really strong apart from lacking a good spin option, I think.

A seam attack if Overton, Henry, Meredith and Gregory is not to be sniffed it and incredibly ben green has taken just about as many wickets as anyone in the blast over the last few years. Our batting is pretty powerful too with Smeed and Banton (lammonby with Banton away) followed by Tom KC, Abell, rew, Gregory, Green etc.

The spin of lewis goldworthy is not close to Van der merwe though.

You're probably right but Gloucestershire were the champs last season so a fine win none the less.
I still can’t believe they won last year. The edgbaston pitch was an absolute stinker for teams who have decent pitches. Gloucs had the perfect conditions and nailed it on the day. I rarely leave sport early but that day I was wasted so went home early missing the end of the procession.

Cricket quiz question for you (while we wait for the next Sussex match).

In what year did England first pick a test team made up of players from 11 different counties (no Googling)?

I'll come back with the answer in the afternoon
