No, not buying that as cheating, unless that also includes the name changes that brighton have undergone recently

Oh, sorry, I am sure they are all legitimate and above board, as Brighton are such a well run club

So no Europe for us next season, and congratulations in advance for winning the Conference league next season.

Until then, have you ever seen the Brighton win a cup?
WTF are you talking about?

Brighton United
Brighton & Hove Rangers

1898

Not with you on this…..

Or are you the same Palace fan who thinks the PL is played over 30 games…..

Can I go to bed or is there news tonight?
I think it’ll be a lot of 2nd hand he said/she said news articles for the foreseeable with little actual development. It’s just a waiting game!

If you were buying it, you would expect to pay more than 2p in the pound. 😂

Why are you here, you are very welcome of course as your presence is like the cherry on the icing on a hugely entertaining club.

This whole thing is so shambolic, so Chrystal Palace it's brilliant. Whatever the outcome 😂.

imagine if you were as entertaining on the pitch as you were off it.

Please never change (well beyond your usual save spamming antics to avoid the consequence of your poor business model, screwing your local businesses and making you fans pay your debts, of course).

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

If we get frustrated at the waiting we can just remember how excruciating that wait must be for the Chrystal Palace community. Especially as the news of their incompetence travels.

Long may they wait.

😂😂😂😂

It's been briefly mentioned, but I think it's hilarious that the majority shareholder of CPFC owns 100% of Lyon and they are mired down in dodgy financial crap.

And clearly doesn't give a shit about Palace or have any serious ambitions for the club.

The Beeb on Palace's situation

It seems the BBC have posted a story submitted to them by Parish!!

First they are arguing that they haven't broken the rules (despite the fact everyone else has complied).

Then finally they are arguing that banning them from the competition is disproportiante.

Just reading that BBC article, I hadn’t realised that the only reason Lyon finished in the Europe League position was because of a 90th minute goal conceded by Strasbourg on the last day of the season, meaning Strasbourg finished below Lyon. In fact, checking further, it was a 99th minute goal!!

If this all ends up with Palace losing their European spot, imagine their added horror when they realise an ex-Brighton favourite was managing Strasbourg when that happened 😊

Brighton - In your face
"Sources with knowledge of the situation have told BBC Sport that Textor's personal share in the Selhurst Park side does not meet the 30% threshold - which is key in Uefa determining decisive influence - and that he has just 25% of the voting rights."

If that's the actual truth it's over, if wishful thinking we've still got hope.

Even Kavel Solehkol on Sky Sports News put forward a very weak argument that Palarse should be allowed to play in Europe. Ignoring the rules to compete in a European competition by not getting the necessary paperwork done by March 1st is not a good enough excuse.

Don't believe a word if it comes from a Palarse "source". The only way Textor has magically shrunk his shareholding is by giving them away for free to the Always Ultras. :)
