It’s always nice when we have visits to stadiums we have not done previously to look forward to. Obviously Everton’s new one will be a total newbie for all, but wondering about the Stadium of Light? Have we played there before? I do not recall an opportunity to go previously but May well be wrong. It will be for me anyway. Went to Roker a few times with (and without) the Albion but would only ’count’ the visit if I see the Albion there In a proper (not a friendly) fixture.

Anyone here seen Albion play at the SoL previously?

It's been a while, you need to go back to 2004 and we lost 2-0 to Sunderland at their place.

As I imagine Everton tickets will be very hard to get, I’m planning to go there instead for the rugby league international against Australia In November, and keep fingers crossed the forthcoming fixture list is my friend that weekend!

I’ve been to the stadium of light. We flew to Newcastle and had a night out in Newcastle. We had to leave our bags in storage at the airport. When collecting them after the game we bumped into the Brighton team. I got a photo with Mark McGhee and my brother got one with Hammond and Harding.

I've done Roker but not SoL. Everton and Sunderland top of my list for next season. No doubt they'll now be Monday night or when I'm on holiday!

I just hope neither of these games are in August which is a tricky month for me, two festivals and a birthday to navigate

The Mrs has just announced that she has booked a holiday for us in October.

Very nice of her, but I'm already concerned about what fixture(s) I'm going to have to miss.
Hoping it's a home match against Villa or Burnley, but it's bound to be an away match at either Everton, Sunderland or Bournemouth (likely to be my first shot at Tier 1)

I VIVIDLY remember Mark McCammon scoring against them at Withdean. I then got an England shirt with his name on the back.....only to then learn he played for Barbados
Yep, a towering header I recall. I was a matchday sponsor for that one.

We've since played and beaten them once in the Amex years - a 1-0 league cup win a month after the Amex opened.

I saw us play at the stadium of light in the early noughties. Zamora was sent off. We lost.

Edit: oh and I seem to recall @The Clown of Pevensey Bay was ver ver drunk. :lolol:

International break is 6th to 17th October.
Hopefully those dates were in her diary when she booked the holiday

I have seen them at SoL. It was a midweek game, some Albion player was badly injured.
