Kin ell, did you not see he chances they fluffed in first half.
Exactly. We missed at least five easy chances to score, and that's not including that dreadful effort from Minteh at the start of the second. Shocking and unforgivable.

Every decision is subjective to some extent. Competence is what matters. Seen them both back now, both clear penalties.
Sure

Not seen them, but subjectively, Villa's penalty appeal when Hinsh dangled his leg was a clear subjective penalty.
It wasn't given though.

VAR is a lottery.

Obviously I did. But at the end of the day/game they’d still scored two. It was woeful and frustrating upfront but they still got two goals, my issue is at the other end.
They were two pens. Our attack was woeful. Their keeper hardly had to make a save from all our chances...poor! We should have been at 4-1 up at half time based on chances.

Minteh's cross to no one in the second half was probably a higher xg chance than Leicester's first equaliser.

Decision making in the final third is really embarrassing.

How hard can it be for a professional footballer to hit a goal?

It’s not even like their keeper made a string of huge saves (like Trafford did for Burnley), we kept missing the f***ing goal

Before the Palace game last week watching our team in the shooting practice bit of the warm up they were woeful with anything but a dead ball, so many missing the target you’d assume there were divots all around the penalty area.

It made me think of Darren Bent talking a few years ago about how practicing shooting is the worst thing a team can do if they aren’t scoring. He said all they are doing is repeating patterns that aren’t working and it becomes about trying not to miss when what you want instead is reinforcing the instinct to score which needs different drills. Today again sometimes looked like trying too hard not to miss rather than trying to score.

Blame the players all we want. R D Z is well documented by former players for making and improving the individual.
Fab imo is about the collective.
I'm on the fence.
But erring on the former TBH

It was the defence which let us down imho. Whatever we think of the attack, they got two goals. They shouldn’t have to score three to compensate for our defense. The forwards, in one sense, did their job.
Oh come off it. We should’ve scored at least 4 or 5 today. We had so many chances and missed the target completely on more than one occasion with a free shot in and around the six yard box. Attacking players cost us the game.

That’s not going to happen unfortunately. JPVH back next should make a big difference, but the injured 5 defenders seem to be out for the season.

Says a lot about our injuries when Tariq Lamptey has (I think) been the most available of our 3 right-backs this year. To think that he gets branded as a sick note when we’ve got Ferdi that has been out with a sore toe since October. That’s a bloody sick note!
It won't help if Dunk is next to him. Dunk has gone in the legs and brain. He no longer drives the team he hinders every attack. No surprise we were in a good run when he was missing and now look awful and wide open at the back. It was hard to work out who was slowest today O'Reilly or Dunk. I've seen trees grow quicker.

We’ve had some real shockingly bad performances at home this season. The team is so wildly inconsistent at the moment.
Normally with Dunk as captain.
