If Potter comes back it will kind of say the 'we are watching potential coaches all over the world' stuff is all a load of guff. Would be a incredibly regressive decision, and so disappointing after the last few years.
It wouldn't make sense for any of the parties involved. It would be a backwards step for everyone.

From a personal perspective, I do watch the interviews and when he spoke it was to "me", dull and uninspiring, I would often think how does he come across in the dressing room? for me I would switch off, I do not find him motivating enough, again it is just a personal opinion and I do not claim to be right, I just simply do not like him.
How did you feel about CH’s interviews? Being told before every game “These are a good team” would not have inspired me

Well, either that or they'll have to seriously argue that having looked at literally every other candidate in the world, they've decided they were right the first time and Potter really is the best manager in the world. :lolol:

If it didn't involve Potter being reappointed I'd quite like to see that press conference.

No it ain't, we can do better than him.

I will cancel my season ticket if that tw@t comes back, his boring, dull, uninspiring after match interviews, Gross would be off like a rocket.
I can't see most players welcoming him back at all.

The new favourite.

Time to ring the ticket office?

Goodness me. If that’s true then there’s a big drop from plan A to plan B! Reminiscent of plan A being ‘keep Caicedo’ and plan B being ‘pay €30m for a young lad from France who’s barely played any senior football’

Really starting to wonder about famous succession planning 😫

I don't think that Bloom would go back to Potter but who knows. I think Potter will eventually get either England, Man United, or a club abroad. My bet would be that McKenna will not be offered Chelsea or United yet and will eventually become our new Head Coach. However, the other interest will slow the process down a bit. I like that the club is silent and that the press (and us) are totally in the dark, it means they are quietly getting on with the job!

If thats the case, then getting mutually moving on with De Zerbi could possibly be the worst decision this club has ever made. Luckily this is only one report, but it would be such a rubbish decision.
I guess at the time, we had reason to think that this last week was the most likely time to attract a new manager as there is a lot of activity

You never truly know if someone would say yes. Even if you've tapped them up, which we probably haven't, they might be spinning you a line to get another deal elsewhere

Maybe we can re-hire Potter. Then when someone much more glamorous comes along, say six games into the season, just sack him for the upgrade? No?
That's some way to give someone a history lesson.

Though I guess we'd have to pay his deal up

De Zerbi left on Sunday. Today is Thursday. One of the betting outlets has Potter as favourite because somebody put £20 on him. None of the others do.

Get a f***ing grip FFS.

Its rubbish, you don’t get a second chance with TB once youve crossed him.

Has Potter crossed him?

Because from a business perspective, it seems to me like he made him £30 million and a Europa League run. I highly doubt Tony feels crossed at all.
